A small note: the score I used for this recording is the one by G. Schirmer, New York, 1913. It was the first print made of Rachmaninovs famous piece in the US and interestingly differs from the original in a few points, for example there‘s a „D“ written in the left hand in bar 5, where in the original it‘s a „D sharp“.
The definiteness of the writing of G. Schirmer seems on purpose and excludes a typographical error. Although perhaps Rachmaninov wouldn‘t be happy, I chose to keep these small differences as a music-historical peculiarity…
