It’s great to see have the full performance video. He is a masterful pianist and his choice of piano added to the quality of his performance. It’s unfortunate and quite objectionable that he was not duly informed about which composition would be first of the two he was to play. This made a difference in the final outcome. I’m quite sure he would have been number 1 -even better than the winner with his excess of affect displayed during his performance and his seemingly arrogant expectation of his being chosen as the winner. Bravo to An👏👏👏👏

He prepared to play Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No. 1 but the orchestra instead started playing Rachmaninoff Themes on Paganini. In the Tchaikovsky piece he would’ve had 5 bars to prepare but with this piece he had to react and instantly play on the first bar

Not embarrassment but of puzzlement! Kudos to him for being able to continue playing in a poised manner! It’s so unfair for that orchestra to do this to him!!!
