The Études-Tableaux ("study pictures"), Op. 39 is the second set of piano études composed by Sergei Rachmaninoff.
This quick-paced étude demands a tireless right hand, a syncopated left hand and considerable dexterity. Technically, the music is in an almost continual climax. It bears a resemblance to Chopin's Prelude in Eb minor.
Performed by Sviatoslav Richter (Prague, June 2nd 1984)

Richter is a legend for using synthesia in 1984 🤯. But seriously great upload

Would be very nice to eventually do Richter's whole Etudes-tableaux 1984 recording, which contains Op. 39 No. 2

@@PianoCzarX does that mean reuploading the ones you did with Lugansky's recordings? Would definitely be a lot of work, but Richter is SO good

@@composerjalen Yes, I think I would re-do Op. 39 No. 9. It is not too challenging to sync anyway so that should be fine

btw it will be a huge honor for us if such a legend like you join our discord server. There we talk about music and synthesized videos. Did I get you interested? If yes, then you need to temporarily disable the removal of links so that I can share it. Then turn it back on

I don't have link blocking turned on but for some reason indeed every link has been getting removed without my knowledge. Also I don't use Discord, but I appreciate the invitation

Dear author, I'm very glad to find this channel today. You do a great work, it's amazing! And not only in terms of content. How long do you make your videos? I think, it's very long and difficult process. That's why it's also great work. You made videos about a lot of classical music, piano and ORCHESTRA, you are great! It's necessary and simply cool. I'm a professional pianist himself, and I see that you are professional pianist too, and you make professional videos about great music and sometimes about great performers too. Thank you very much for your content! Unfortunately, you are underrated, but professional musicians understand how cool what you do. P.S. Special thanks for The Rite of Spring and pieces performed by Richter!!!

Richter is so good, he’s known to make the piano strings reveal bell tones…

@@os4mikeIt was a joke. PianoCzarX edited in the sound of a bell tuned to C at the final chord. Richter does play exceptionally forcefully though, it’s a common joke to mention the Richter Scale in regard to his performances.
