But that's true. Im on 7950X3D + 4090 and I'm plaing on lowest settings (lower graphics equals better visibility of players because they don't blend in nice looking terrain). For most of the time I've got over 200 fps but there are huge drops to 100-120 fps. It shouldn't be like this, way more challenging games works better than hunt now.

i was getting 180 pre-update, dropped to 120 when update launched, and latest patch i now get 90-100. :(

If the cyclone has the same sight as the silencer then this GUN would be my #1 pick, basically a 4 shots drilling without the shotgun part, would be perfect for flicking shots

You should also set the texture to low for maximum performance. There's a memory leak issue that triggers as soon as you choose medium quality (or higher) for that particular setting.

The cyclone is cool, but its weird to me that they nerf the officer carbine like 3-4 times and buff cyclone. I guess its more just the medium ammo changes, and it was too expensive.

"I have the best specs money can buy" very true but it also might be that your settings are too low that the 4090 isn't being used at all so the game is just trying to run off the 7800X3D instead of utilizing the whole rig. I'd joke about the ram speed of 5600 but at 64GB thats plenty. Honestly just try turning up some GPU related settings and seeing if that gets you to 240FPS. Then again it is a Crytek game. They are honestly stupidly intensive.

I have a pretty decent PC and when the update happened in August I pretty much stopped playing Hunt because of how bad the framerate would get. The game was unplayable for me even at low settings. I'm not sure if they changed something with a recent update or if it was because I adjusted my VRAM settings under the graphics tab but I can get pretty decent 90 fps now without drops.

I am playing around with DLDSR in combination with ingame DLSS and the game looks stunning and runs smoothly. But always between 140 and 190 FPS with my RTX 4080

@@ramen7761 I had the same experience with dlss as you. But the game changer is to enable the DSR Upscaling first with a smoothnesss on cero (!) in your Nvidia control panel. In my case to 2,25x = rendering in 4k (i am playing on WQHD native). And then to enable DLSS either an Quality or Balanced, depending on your preference. Now the game is extremely sharp and crispy in distance and looks phenomenal overall. I would recommend DSR (DLDSR) for every other game as well, in case you have a high performing graphics card in Combination with a low resolution monitor (WQHD or FullHD).

I've seeing people abusing beetles in trios... it does 50 damage, so it needs 3 to kill someone full health... it is so frustrating... there is so much little you can do when people abuse it camping throwing beetles from far away or camping inside buildings. And you could say: "you just need to shoot it".. fine.. but and when the trio are using multiple beetles each.

​@@achop980 Ya the biggest issue atm is trading, and before someone tries to defend it by saying "bullets don't disappear", no way a bullet that travels at 500m/s takes 2 business days to hit me at 10m distance. Or, like Rachta showed in a short, the dude that died and still had time to cook and throw a nade. Also, performance on the new map is lacking a lot, like the swamp I get 180+ consistent, new one I get 120-130.

If you counter saying they still play the game...but of course, they are Crytek Partners: it's part of their job portfolio (sponsorships, partnerships, streams) They can't just up and drop Hunt. They have to eat the bad update and like it. There might even be contract guidelines we aren't aware off. Maybe they can't even promote another game even if they wanted. People that "bombed review" Hunt are now being proven right. They weren't trolling, just ahead of the curve. Some skins are off limits now, it's not just the FPS anymore.(And UI, but that's old news) Its like buying damaged goods, just because they are digital doesn't change the fact of consumer literacy. So OPs comment still stands as relevant.

If you paid thousands of dollars for a PC wouldn't you want your money's worth? The game is optimized terribly right now and it's clear from all the frame drops, stutters, and bugs, that effects everyone, with bad PC or good. Also why do you have beef with his graphics settings? It's notoriously hard to see people in this game and low makes it easier, why would you not want that? Get your money up and stop playing on a laptop, or throw everything on low + 4:3 res, and lock in and get good.

what keeps getting better? the sweatiness of this game? you litteraly cant enjoy this game in any way as a casual, too many mechanics, to many cheaters, too many weapons you need to know in case of which are OP ( spear). crytek designed a great game, but the gameplay is just not it. worst part why people do not play this game is the money aspect and losing your hunter, you just cant connect to the game in any way. gamers WANT their main character. why would they to this?

yeah that’s a bad take at the end, you don’t lose much when you die, you can get it back in about a game or 2 depending on your performance. on top of that, the money aspect is way more forgiving considering that it’s easier to achieve from cash registers and endgame results. if you don’t like losing a game’s worth of progress, then i’d assume you don’t like a lot of multiplayer games
