Hired in 1991, I was fired from McDonald's at 96 street and Broadway in Manhattan NYC after just 3 weeks for having passed the job interview with VOODOO not with speech and communication. To say the least I had passed the job interview over 800 candidates. I was fired by KEVIN, a black man.

People need to go back and read books written in the 1800' s prior to the 1860. The black population is the same then as they are today.Not all of them by no means, but some mostly in the inner cities ( and I realize times are hard there ) ; but dont hollow racism everytime you do not get what you want.

As a child when I was younger and again I do have disabilities now keep in mind I was treated both unfairly and unjustly most of my life including by both teachers, adults,and girls who have treated me with such disrespect, and I have been religiously persecuted for my beliefs so much so that I have not been able to fulfill may basic needs for schooling, and living a normal life and another costumer who were just at my local Mcdonald's we were both ignored and bluntly disregarded by both the general manager, and the worker at the cash register and they told the other costumer I was being out of line but I stated to the costumer he was better off going to a Panda Express like myself because of how I felt I was being treated and I support everyone even the Latina and latino communities world wide, and I love the black communities, or other communities I meet feel welcome and to those I have missed in mentioning I am sorry I have short term memory loss so please forgive the lack there of but for myself and someone else to be disregarded because of racial injustice is something I felt that I had to mention out of the bottom of my heart because I know it is such a sensitive issue going on in our world. And I just generally love everyone, and I do work at a HomeDepot where I have tried to the best of my abilities to make everyone feel the same love and welcomeness that I have felt being a person with disabilities can feel and again I am sorry that people who work for Mcdonald's feel that they can treat people like this and feel they can just walk off Scott free is not right and must be addressed!

I don't know about Polk County but here in Pinellas County this is not a thing. 90% of McDonald's employees in Pinellas county are either Black or Hispanic or Asian with over half being black. This isn't just the crew members. This applies to management as well. In the McDonald's where I work I am the only white male manager. I am one of only two white managers and one of only two male managers. The general manager and the 2nd and 3rd ranking managers are Black female managers and all the other remaining managers are female and all but one are either Black or Hispanic. Our owner/operator is Hispanic.

Trust me in saying, they don't only discriminate against race. How about a MCSLOPPY? A number of times for 6 times now, I go to a mcdonalds drive thru and they make my big macs with lop sided beef patties and the special sauce has spilled to one of the sides. I may have a degrees of being autistic and also I don't physically feel that great due to a certain reason and you can hear all this in my voice, and it makes me wonder if an employee there does this on purpose.

That is NOT true. In the McDonald's where I work our general manager is a Black lesbian female. Her boss is a Black female and the director is a Black male. The owner/operator is a Hispanic Male. I am the ONLY white male manager there. Our 2nd and 3rd ranking managers are also Black females. We have one additional white female manager and one additional male Black manager and the rest of the management staff are females either Black or Hispanic but mostly Black. Of the crew, only one is a white male and only two white females. Two thirds are Black and one third are Hispanic and mostly females. This is in a neighborhood where the population is roughly 20% Black and 15% Hispanic and 2% Asian and about 60% White. This is fairly typical of the McDonald's throughout our mostly White county. McDonald's has a reputation, at least in our county, for being a place where minorities are welcomed and encouraged and can succeed. And yes they joke about me being the token White guy.

I am a McDonald's manager and our customer demographic is approximately 60% white, 20% Black, 15% Hispanic. Our employee demographic is roughly 2/3 black. We need EVERYONE'S dollars but frankly White people spend more so their dollars contribute the most.

About WHITE PRIVILEDGE: FOM AN FRICAN FRIEND OF MINE - There is one thing that astonishes me!!! Although a segment of people « benefit » from it because they get higher salary, may be slightly better treatement and are barely discriminated, it is wise to say that many of those « priviledged » are left behind, frustrated and under -accomplished! Many people of colours have accomplished MUCH MUCH more than many white counterparts for example and I have a friend (from Africa) whom I met in France who has 2 masters degrees, speaks 4 european languages fluently and who has achieved way more than many «whites » like me (I am French). Another that this african guy told me is that despite having MANY advantages, many europeans are still depressed, unhappy (emotionally and even sexually) and lonely. I think I agree with him. He also told me once that he does not fear to have to come back to Africa one day because he has a home there (an average size house, he showed me some pictures of it and it was beautiful but simple) with a garden with many types of fruits and veggies. He even has some chickens!!!! He told me that NOTHING in europe or America could make him more happy yhan coming back in his home country where he could enjoy cheaper cost of living, avoid « white » loneliness and depression, « white drugs while eating foods without additives and hormones. here he is right as well!
