That’s an insane ride after starting it pushing VO2 power for so long. Your legs should have been toast after 15-20 minutes. Unbelievably strong mental effort!

Thanks :) Well done for noticing! They do actually neutralise all the gear in Grand Prix races so there’s no weight advantages 😅

Insane ride! Way to dig deep - and reflect on what you could potentially do differently. 47 up the Alpe is top tier stuff. Well done.
@obikedog6 ай бұрын
I always knew world tour riders were strong but it's amazing to see your stats in "real time" during a race like that. (Especially as one who's tried that hill a few times and can compare my weak performance directly!) Fwiw - too many times Zwift videos focus on the rider sweating on their trainer pulling faces and such (GCN!) instead of showing the actual race being ridden. It's maddening so I really appreciate the candor and openness of this style!
@Stewartuk73 Жыл бұрын
Loved this. The openness about what you could have done differently was refreshing. Look forward to the next climb - top effort.

As I was watching in awe your W/Kg I was drawn to the video posted when we saw Rohan Dennis do the climb in an Zwift event , but what super impressive was your ability to push / hold with a what I can only image must have been your HR at V02 or very close . Bravo 🙌. Herculean effort, looking forward to more to come and seeing you moving up in position

That’s pretty awesome Tilly I’ve completed that climb too … strategy for me was more of zone 2-3 and 4 for 80% of the session then a push to the end .. recording over 100w over my FTP… I think also it’s important not to get in the mind set of staying with the bunch right from the start… that’s my theory for sure .. 👍👍Zwift is the best without a doubt
@74_Green Жыл бұрын
So important to know the cheeky spots where you can put in a little dig on the courses. I always struggle with the start of this climb, it's a fine balance of going to hard up the first two turns. Good to see you back racing.

Don't forget about the neutralized bikes. One of the managers was once told that the neutralized bike stats were that of the Zwift Carbon bike with 30 mm wheels. If your best time was on a climbing bike/wheels that's definitely worth a minute on the Alpe! Nice work.

Almost the same as the top female rider in this race. Paving as it turns out is Key to a good time. It always hurts though, Well done!!💪💪
