Thank you! I’m definitely confused by the high rpm 2nd gear vs mid rpm 3rd gear debate. This bike is supposed to make a lot of its HP at the high rpm range, but it does feel like I should be shifting more sometimes when the trail opens up.

Thanks! The adrenaline rush of going that fast on lap1 was pretty intense. Haha. Wore off a little but I was able to maintain a similar pace on lap 2, but not on 3&4.

You need to pedal! Preferably on a mountain bike. Something you can maintain a high heart rate for hour +. Works great for the endurance part.

I do need to get back on my gravel/road bike. I was doing it last year to acclimate to the summer heat.

Definitely my best start ever in either D or C class. I ride at spokes about once a month. CTOR as well. Shoot me a FB message and I’ll let you know next time I go. Probably not until after next race. Have to get ready for the sand.

Oh yeah, you were flying there. My corner speed was almost zero in that corner after I got the bump from mark. Haha. I felt like almost the entire 50C class passed me in that corner 😂

Yes thats the reason im still in D is to get the championship, i also just had a really good race that day, it was my first time getting first and only 2nd time getting podium, Saturdays i still get gapped in D class

Annie is 129, not her first race. She was on someone else’s bike for this race due to bike issues. She’s usually on a blue and pink Yamaha 2 stroke

Wait, these are all the trails at Spoaks? Trying to get there this week as well. Just spoke with the owner about riding during the week (I'm a medic in Austin and mostly work 12hrs shifts on weekends). He said I could ride the trails any day for $20! Seems like a real nice guy! These trails look great!

Yes, this is Spoaks. Trails are super easy and fast. They get slick when wet.
