in that second race the twin shock race the leader on the Yamaha 125 it looked like a single shock bike . I might be wrong Chris. great video as usual Chris . thanks👍

Hi David your absolutely correct although those early 1980 YZ125 Monoshock Yamaha’s 125’s are still eligible to race alongside Twinshock bikes due to the fact they have non linkage suspension and still have drum brakes front and rear and of course an air cooled motor so most club’s in the UK operate these rules for these machines, hope that clears up your comment.

Maybe its just perspective and camera angles, but that wooden post at 8:49 makes me squeamish everytime I see a rider come flying past it. Were it my call I'd string rope only around the apex of that corner to avoid serious injury!

Hi VW’s I can understand your concern and your quite right with regards these big posts and it’s very few clubs who still use these big posts where most use small pegs with tape to mark out the track. And actually I remember years ago one of my friends popped a wheelie going into a corner and by the time he got the front wheel down he couldn’t stop for the corner and went through the ropes which caught him around the neck and completely pulled him off his bike. And the ropes were hanging from these kind of posts so maybe if the club were using the smaller pegs and tapes this accident wouldn’t have happened. Yes the first video’s from Kendal won’t be posted until late next week as I’m very busy at the moment, but yes I filmed all 24 races on the day.
