Racing on the Highways of Tokyo in Virtual Reality | Gran Turismo 7 PSVR2

Today on Gran Turismo 7 I have another midnight run at Tokyo, this time in VR! I'm using a bone stock FD RX7 Spirit R. Even with the dip in quality from normal gameplay, I think VR is overall a better experience, personally.
Disclaimer: If you are unfamiliar with VR or never tried it, do not expect image quality in the headset to be this level. VR headsets always have lower quality. Please don't consider this video as a reason to buy a headset, please do research and watch reviews first!

I brought a PSVR2 today, was impressed straight away, didn't stop playing until I was disconnected from the PS network. I've been playing PC VR for 6 years, my current headset is a Pimax 8KX, and the PSVR2 is just amazing at half the price, and with eye tracking and foveated rendering, how did they make this so well for such a small price? Anyone that complains VR is overpriced should look at what they are paying for there current smart phone and compare it to that before complaining.

Sony is the only company right now actually delivering full games for its VR headset.can't really ask for anything more.

How Does the PSVR2 + Gt7 + wheel compare to something like Assetto Corsa with the Vive? I have over 500 hours in AC with VR. I have had Vive since day 1, but havent felt the need to upgrade to index. Im strongly considering buying a PS5 for this.

@@Vartazian360 The PSVR2 is better than a Vive, but AC with CSP and Sol/Pure with a Reverb G2 headset is incredible. Otherwise, it depends on if you prefer the open sandbox nature of AC with more realistic physics/simulation features/mods, or the accessibility of GT7.

I retired recently and as a gift to myself I got PS5, PS VR2, A Titan cockpit and racing wheel. It was that, or a set of lawn bowls. I play all day. Its so addictive racing online trying to get a good rating and race clean racers. So addicted to this.

@@RowdyGT Don't see a Pro happening to be honest. People think too much of it because it happened last time but last time they were trying to jump in the 4K hype to sell more 4K devices. And unless PSVR2 does extremely well, then even a PSVR3 might not happen. This companies are looking for profits. They ain't charity. Hope we get some great experience on VR2 so it will go well and hope GT enhances the experience even more because there are quite a few things that can be improved. Playstation should sit with the Steam guy to bring VR half life to PSVR2 they should also make some good space fighters games and airplane fights like WWII and modern jets etc in VR. Such things are great in VR. Don't see Microsoft letting their flight Simulator be on Playstation though especially not now they are throwing knifes at each other throats. Maybe is time for Sony to make a flight simulator and get really into Microsoft's face. Also they should make Assetto Corsa on Playstation VR2 compatible.

Ever since I got a PSVR2, I became a night racer and don't sleep till 2:30am. It's taking a toll on my health but it's just so freaking addictive. With the level of immersive experience, the price of the vr is highly reasonable I would say.

you would also need a racing wheel and the game, also a stand for the wheel and pedals. So with all that plus the PS5 and PSVR2 your looking at around $2500 - $3000

There will always be some drop in sharpness when you are playing in VR, similar to how a 3D movie looks blurrier than 4K blueray on an OLED.....but, if you hit the sweet spot then it achieves around 80-90% of the sharpness that you get on a flat screen

Since you get vibration through both the controller and a headset when you hit the wall you can feel it through your whole upper body, I find it makes the experience as a whole that much more immersive.

Maybe a little bit out in the distance but I find things like the steering wheel and the dash actually look better in the headset, I couldn't get over how real my steering wheel looked haha the rear view mirror wasn't on par with a real one but still looks very good and is insanely impressive for a VR game.

Yeah that’s not VR I have been playing GT7 on PSVR 2 all day today and it doesn’t look like this. It looks good but not exactly this good. Also the movement looks like a left stick movement. VR movement is different.

What he is doing is showing off a replay with no HUD on and moving the left stick as smooth as possible but you can tell its a left stick movement because the camera goes back to neutral position when he lets go. On VR the movement is more fluid also the camera can move to the sides and up and down a bit depending on how you are sitting down. Hard to believe how many people this guy is fooling.
