Got my A&P (Airframe&Powerplant) license because i was told aircraft mechanics often were hired as pit crew or team mechanics... not an easy opening to come across. Or get someones attention for.

I've been driving for almost 25 years, flawless record other than an overweight violation. This would be my dream job. Beautiful equipment, always an experience, and always a challenge. Hats off to all the drivers that got the opportunity to do this for a living. To a driver, this would be our version of winning the lottery. I live about 2 miles from the Ky speedway, watching these rigs coming in is always a treat, whether its nascar or indy cars coming into town, it's an amazing sight.

When I was younger I once saw a very strange M&Ms semi truck at a rest stop. Looking back it had to be the M&Ms NASCAR truck. Must have been on it's way, or from Watkin Glen.

love when the haulers are making their way to NH from NC and back to NC from NH when the race is over they end up going through my area of NY. Me and the wife end up sitting at a rest area on the interstate in our county and watch them go by at night. yeah cant wait to go to the 1st race for Pocono.

i was working at midas one time in columbus ohio .. in grove city and kyle pettys hauler pulled up , with a broken exhaust on the stack . to be fixed i fixed it and i was a fan of petty and pontiac and hot wheels , and told the driver no charge . he gave the hole shop hats and shirts for our help ,, it was fun also with all the people taking picks .. good times

From my experience when I was driving otr most people don't get to see a hauler because they pass by like they're running the Daytona 500 them boys hammer down by the time you hear them coming up behind you they're out of sight 😂😂

Hmm! Yes that's right amazing video. I can say that I've seen alot of these haulers criss crossing the big road when I was running the road. I saw Dale Sr. haulers once at the T/A truckstop back in day in Greensboro. During the same period I was to down to Florida when I had a convoy running to Daytona. Those were some good memories. #keepontruckin 👍

On my way to Bristol last August I had just left JGR when the haulers was starting to pull out. I followed Kyle’s and Denny’s until I got off on the exit for KBM. Really a once and a lifetime experience

I'm an otr driver running dry van. It's hard enough as it is. I can only imagine running this expensive equipment coast. Can't be late. Can't stop and take a nap all the time. Gotta run hard. No idea how they do it but pretty cool to see them out here here on the road. Pretty surprised they're only advertising about the same amount of pay to haul dry freight around, but must be pretty cool to haul the cars that are on tv every year. Definitely a tough ball game out here and no doubt you guys got it tougher for standard pay. Hats off

More then just driving to the track. Cooking running around getting this getting that. I drove a hauler for 2 years for a NASCAR team. Drove for an Indy team. But by far the best is Hauling the 50’ Mystic offshore race boat. Cintron offshore racing. Won the World Championship twice. In Extreme class. That by far was the best job.

Growing up in the Carolinas, you saw haulers pretty often just like seeing one of those Swift Trucks or a TMC truck on the roads but it was still cool to see, especially if you didn't have the money to actually go to a race...

The unsung hero’s of nascar! Thank you for your sacrifice the countless miles driven safe! Offseason home with family but the mistress is still calling your name! Would be interesting to see what driver has the most safe driven miles without a accident? Look at UPS drivers some of the safest drivers on the road! Most people drive the road to get to n from work or a family vacation but these guys it’s their office n try to be courteous to them as well as all commercial drivers they are try to deliver ur food clothes toys as well as entertainment us! You get to go home n see the wife n kids every night most drivers are 6-7 days out! Myself 2.6 million miles accident free! I want to get home to my family but I also want u home safe with ur loved ones! Hammerdown boys n girls!🏁

I haven’t been to a real nascar race. But I’ve seen some famous people race at my local track in Pensacola called Five Flags Speedway. I’ve seen Jeff Gordon, Danica Patrick, Joanna Long, Tony Stewart, Dale Jr, Jimmy Johnson, and Martin Truex race here. They’ve all competed in the Snowball Derby which is like the Daytona 500 for the short tracks. Joanna Long has won 2 of em and won one of them at 16. Jeff Gordon won one and Dale Jr won one.

It does make you wonder what the pay structure is like for race team haulers. Normal OTR truckers are paid by the mile. These guys obviously aren't working or at least not to the same capacity during the off season. Are they paid a retainer? Are they just straight salary? How does all of that work.

Ic sadly never seen a hauler in person and the only nascar vehicle iv seen is a bill elliot mcdonalds car in the New Oxford racecar museum, but in 2019 I did get to see Kyle Larson and retired nascar cup series Champion Tony Stewart in the same dirt race in PA.

I’ve been driving a go kart Since I was 3, I wasn’t on a race track or racing anyone but I was driving a off road go kart, Ive know how to drive a car scene I was 11, and now I’m 14 and driving a 600 horse power drag car, and I also do simulation racing on NASCAR heat, do you think I have a shot in NASCAR? And if I do, how do you think I should go about it, should I like, start emailing race teams in the NASCAR truck series about hot seats or something when I’m 16, or something else, I’ve been wanting to become a NASCAR driver my whole life, and I’m hoping to make that dream come true

See them all the time going up/down I-81 to Pocono’s and Watkins Glen...back in the 80s and early 90s these guys were also responsible for carrying the pit crew and sometimes the driver as well and used to get police escorts in certain areas but with the expansion of tracks now teams have a bus or fly to the next track...these guys are driving trucks with over a million dollars worth of tools/equipment and trust me their speed is heavily monitored by tracking if they speed they will lose their job!

The Driver that is On Duty for the race does all the team responsibilities while his partner flies in the day of the race and is Off Duty until it is time to drive home. The fresh driver drives home and the driver that helped during the race flies home with the team. All of our drivers are on EDLs and have to stop at all weigh stations.

How does one become a hauler driver and how does one get in with a world of outlaws team or lucas oil late model team

As a truck drive here that job has tobe the worst job in the race team,first to leave the shop last to get back and when win a race everyone else on the plane partying having a great time and you're stuck in traffic.

How many cars do they haul at once? Do they go back to headquarters to pickup different cars, or do they have those cars with them?

I beleive 2 one on top of another.. And all the equipment in front. Now if they wreck both cars idk what they do???

There's 2 cars that are above the bulk of the the trailer. The primary car and a back up

Do you guys have driving restrictions here in Australia we can only drive for 12 hours per day ( in a 24 hour period)

Merica drivers can run 11 hours and be on duty (non driving - such as fueling, loading/unloading) for 14 hours before a mandatory 10 hour break.

UK is 10 hours driving and 15 hours duty time,but double manned can be 20 driving only stopping to change drivers,...That's handy when there are European Grand Prix's on back to back weekends,....

How do get a job like that, I love nascar and go to both Texas races every year, retired Army and been driving professionally Sence 2007, haul doubles and triples for YRC Freight.
