Hey brother that sucks the shipment got messed up , now the poor birds gonna deal with it . But u did great adding some oil to the diet , pls from a pigeon man to another get some peanuts in as well in this cold weather , who knows may be I get some of ur birds one day lol . Great stuff always salute from Texas . Great progress on the fence if u have any issue that s what I do so fire away

I do feed peanuts when they are feeding youngsters; nothing they love better!! Thanks for the well-wishes on the fence too! If only we weren’t 2000 miles away from each other you could finish the fence and I could hook you up with birds! 😆

Thanks my friend! Didn’t think I’d be floating Thing1’s eggs but sure enough, I did. I don’t plan to race Old birds this year; I only have a few. Young birds won’t be until August or September. Thanks again for your support!!

I do love it and and luckily found ways to get it without paying shipping. For all of 2020 I drove a few hours to Foys Pigeon Supplies and stocked up for the following 6 months. This year I have tried to buy online and have so far had terrible luck with the packages being damaged in transit. I may do a vid on it. I would try to get with few fanciers in the area and do a road trip to the nearest supply house and get enough to stock everyone up for a while. Have them pay for gas???

@@RFRP GREAT IDEA IT SHOULD SAVE A LOT OF MONEY. IF YOU ARE BUYING THAT MUCH I WOULD WANT TO SEE SOME SAMPLES OF THE QUALITY. MAKE SURE THE CORN IS GOOD .I HAVE TAKEN CORN BACK A FEW TIMES IN THE PAST AND TOLD THAT IS NOT THE CORN THAT IS ON DISPLAY. THEY CHANGED IT. THEY GAVE ME A FREE BAG FOR PETROL MONEY, AFTER A BIT OF PROMPTING. ITS BETTER TO GET IT IN BULK THOUGH, YOU KNOW THEN ITS THE SAME QUALITY ALL THROUGH THE YEAR.

Can I get a pair to foster an egg from another bird if it is only a day or two from hatching the egg I want them to foster? Or do the parents need more time to make crop milk?

Crop milk comes in around 3 days prior to hatching. If the foster pair has been sitting on eggs for 16 days or so then it will be fine, otherwise the foster parents will not have the crop milk and the baby will likely not make it. Good luck!!

Yeah, I don't think there will be enough time for them then. I have a hen that had three full sized eggs...she is my best pair and I didn't want to lose an egg. The last egg came in 4 days after the first and she was sitting pretty low by day 2 when the second egg came...I am just worried the little one won't make it if it's siblings are 3x his/her size.

That is a valid concern. I think you will probably have to intervene for that 3rd youngster. I’ve never had a pair lay 3 eggs! Keep me posted!
