Congratulations to Derek! It's so nice to see you, Danny! I want to ask you if you ever had a cock that wouldn't let his hen feed the young ones? I had a first time pair. All was well. They took turns sitting on the eggs. But as soon as they hatched, the cock wouldn't let the hen anywhere near the babies. I had to separate them as he was beating her up whenever she attempted to come down off the perch. He wouldn't even allow her to eat or drink. I let him raise the young and he did a stellar job of it. Unfortunately, he isn't banded. He's a beautiful bird and would probably be highly motivated if he had young ones to race home to.
