My Sister's old Father in Law (who was in the 285th Signal Pigeon Corps in WW2) had a loft just below Mica Peak in the Spokane Valley (Washington). He was up near the tree line and had Peregrine's regularly pick off his birds. I got a few of his unflown, young ones and they were the jumpiest birds I ever owned. Thanks for the video.
@RFRP3 жыл бұрын
Wow--that is really cool about the WW2 birds and that you got some. I believe it that peregrines regularly pick them off. Folks in the UK now are experiencing significant losses and fanciers are simply throwing in the towel all together. Thanks for following!!

No worries all will come back late that day or the next day. My bird was loft fly during 4th of July around 8:00 PM, I made a mistake once the sun set fire works started and all of my birds was kept on flying and flew somewhere else and the next early morning all came back.

That's right, they always come home. That's why I love em.

Yeah, I had a similar experience last year with my YB team. A cooper's hawk swooped in on them during their evening loft fly and they did not come back that night. They did all return the next morning. Sadly, this has been different. They must have been especially spooked and flown many miles off course and the ones that returned were beat. They are all little bit more skittish in the loft. Haven't gotten any more back today. 15/21 are back. Thanks for the comment and well wishes!!

They will come, some just enjoy the freedom.
@RFRP3 жыл бұрын
In this case I don't think it is a situation of enjoying their freedom. I think they were attacked, scattered and flew like crazy and didn't look back. Some may have been injured in the process or simply became too disoriented and exhausted to return home. I hope they at least find new lofts to join.

Hey I was wondering how hard is it to start a KZbin channel. I have pigeons and I would like to start my own channel any pointers you could give me. They would be greatly appreciated.
@RFRP3 жыл бұрын
Hmmm, I guess my advice would be to just start it and see if you like doing it. pick what you like from what others pigeon KZbinrs do and add any new ideas you might have. I shoot all my vids from my phone so it doesn’t require any extra gear. Good luck!

@@RFRP they way u letting them birds out of that small box, it’s disgusting like, get a proper tidy one and not some shit like, train them better and in a better box u need to
@RFRP3 жыл бұрын
The box in this video has plenty of ventilation and it only had like 9 birds in it. Nothing wrong with that whatsoever. This sport does not require a fancy loft, or fancy crates. It requires good healthy birds with proven bloodlines and a fancier that loves and cares for them properly. That’s what’s so great about-anyone can enjoy flying pigeons! As a kid all I had was two cardboard fruit boxes that I cut ventilation holes, and doors and guess what? My birds were healthy and performed great. Cheers
