Hygger are a real contender for aquarium stuff these days. So many affordable options. No more paying an arm and a leg for stuff. Great review, thanks Rob👍

Appreciate it. Even their base level lights are not bad.

I really like that one.. Not sure that one is available on Canadian Amazon. Excellent review as always. Your detailed reviews really do answer all you need to know. I think it would be ok for low light plants like you suggested. It seems very straightforward. I appreciate your honesty about the legs . Lol my sleeves are always wet

Thanks for watching, it a simple light to use for sure. It appears you can get it in Canada as well www.amazon.co.uk/hygger-Aquarium-Dimmable-Extendable-Controller/dp/B0872Y9F7K/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?crid=3U8ZDPAPZ96OO&keywords=hygger+HG-918&qid=1661107228&sprefix=hygger+hg-918+%2Caps%2C204&sr=8-5

I've seen some folks mention they are able to get the system to remember light settings using an external on/off switch (what I prefer for timer programming)? I had that feature work effortlessly on a HG990 that I just returned for a bad tank fit. Thus far, I can't get the same external switch to remember brightness or LED choices other than 100% on my HG918.

Hey! I am trying the same thing but haven't figured it out yet, have you come up with a solution by any chance already?

I haven't. If anything, I use cheap Walmart plug-in manual timers to control some lights.

Ahh thats unfortunate, i have some good timers myself aswell but they just reset the light settings, being way too bright. Guess i will stick to the 10% when off with the build in timer, thnx for the responds!

Welcome, wish I had more info for you. I actually use the the HG975 which retains all the info during/after a power failure. All I needs to due is reset the time and it returns to my program. You could reach out to service@hygger-online.com@@CBos-zy2eu
