Galopin Des Champs might be unbeaten at Leopardstown, but I’d argue hes even better at Cheltenham. Doubt anything gets near him in March. Unbelievable jump at the last. Won it with the injection of pace between 3 and 2 out. Fantastic ride again from Paul Townend.

An astonishing performance. He made Fact To File look ordinary, which he is not. Galopin Des Champs is a great, and will hopefully cement his place in racing immortality with a third Gold Cup. The Cheltenham treble on him, Constitution Hill, and Sir Gino is around 7/1.

I'm hoping Gordon Elliot will drop Conflated back down in trip at some point. He finished 7th today at big odds, but caught my eye for a long way in the race. I know he's 10 now and pretty exposed but he jumped and travelled really nicely on the rail until the taps were turned on in the home straight and Galopin left them behind. I will be interested if they try him over 2m 4f or so next time or at some point this season. Galopin was incredible today fair play to him

You have two choices with Fact To File: plough on regardless and likely get beat even further in the Gold Cup, or drop him back to his correct trip, and have a favourite's chance of winning a Ryanair. Only one of those choices makes any sense.

@stevens9996 maybe fact to file will get the trip better next season as he learns to settle better. Also Galopin could be going for a 4th straight gold cup, which would be hard for any horse. He would be a short priced favourite for the Ryanair if they want to go that way.

When he fell over 3 years ago everyone said he'd win it following year had my weeks wage on him and half my profit from the 3 days ahead. Done same the following year and will do this year the same it's that gallop up the Cheltenham hill. He might not destroy them like denman but he has them struggling or has enough stamina in abundance to win it each time age is just a number for him
