I am a 58 year old guy and have travelled to multiple countries world wide numerous times on I dian passport. We (Indians) are responsible for this situation as many of us go on Tourist visa and illegally settle in many developed countries. German, Australian or European Citizens don’t do that and hence are not stopped at any airports. They do not even need visas to travel to most of the countries while we do. This is not discrimination but way to control illegal migration. The immigration people are just doing their job . These experiences are to be taken in the right spirit in a logical way without getting emotional about it. Yes, sometimes immigration people might go overboard and may become overcautious. Due to this, Sometimes genuine Indian travellers with right intentions also suffer due to other few fellow Indians who migrate on tourist visas.

As a Delhite whose been living in NZ for yonks, I totally understand and relate with you. I travel extensively and passport discrimination is a real thing. It sucks however, we need to fix our internal issues first. Foreigners ko nhi farak padta tum kon ho - Hindu ho ya North Eastern ho.. whatever. Period. Apne desh me pehele bhaichara lao aur internal problems fix karo - tab izzat mile. Let's fix our air first, let's fix the judiciary first. Yeh religious propoganda band karo aur safai karo desh ki. The world watches everything. Pune Porsche case, Atul Subhash etc.. Everyone knows what happens in India and that sure leaves a bad taste. Take this message however you like. Am an Indian passport holder based in France and travel around the world every month. Firstly you need to know that travelling abroad is a privilege and not a right. Second, The immigration officials are doing their duty and just following procedures. Thirdly when we go abroad we are literally an ambassador of our country. Now in my experience if you follow all the rules as prescribed by the country of entry, it's rare that you are denied entry. So this statement Racism against Indians is wrong. Lastly lots of western countries do watch you with suspicion specially when you don’t have much stamps or entering the country for the 1st time. They don’t want economic migrants point. Lesson is keep all documents update, speak like an educated person, dress well.

I always take precaution with my Indian passport. Once I was going to pass Greece - Bulgaria border by land. I dropped email to Bulgarian embassy in India with my Greece visa and my bus tickets between Greece and Bulgaria. They confirmed that as a Indian passport holder with multiple Schengen visa, I can enter Bulgaria for a week or so. I carried the print out. All went well. Same when I was entering Croatia from Schengen zone with Schengen visa and then from Croatia to Bosnia and back to Croatia couple of years back. All good. Croatia has interesting border to Bosnia. There is exit from Croatia > entry in Bosnia > exit > reentry. Funny land borders.

@harshmandwariya5873 to be very honest I used to behave like this dude is behaving in video but over the period of time I realised there is no use to fight in every travel to spoil my mood so I need to satisfy the answers once I asked same questions by Airline in Peru Airport I wanted to know why they are asking me so much questions in aviance south america that lady was so kind and she showed me her desktop screen where it was red flagged indian passport and instructions were to ask proper questions before allowing me to board the flight. So I now know that indian nationality is red flagged so I need to reach Airport earlier and satisfy the answers of airline so I am usted to it so I enjoy nowdays

Thanks for highlighting this. This must’ve been painful. I’m a naturalized US citizen but when I had I Indian passport, I never face discrimination. I can definitely understand the pain. I’m the last 10 years, Indians top the list illegal immigrants in the countries you mentioned. They go as tourists and overstay. Pregnant women come to USA and deliver baby here. I’m home Kong, China, Laos, Vietnam etc. they are suspicious about Muslims. Also there are a lot of phone scammers India. Unfortunately, with a beard and look like Muslim; don’t feel bad . I used to have a goatee beard; I do look like a middle eastern guy in USA. I took it to off. Now it is ok since 9/11 is well behind us . Overall Indians are seen as very smart people because of the number of CEOs and other executives that companies have in USA and Europe.

Last year i went to Malaysia from Thailand. No issues. But while catching my return flight from Kuala Lumpur to Kolkata, the security smiled and said “visit again” to every other passenger in front of me because they were from different nationality but with me they made a face and didn’t even look at me except just doing the passport stamping. Somehow i have seen that in countries other than "so called or so-blamed" western countries the immigration check has been more stringent. Living in Germany, as an Indian passport holder, i have never experienced such stringent questioning in Germany/ EU/ US etc. However i did experience such control in Guinea (west Africa), Brazil, Indonesia, Dominican Republic, Oman, Russia. The peope in all these countries were lovely, but my experience with the immigration officers in these mentioned countries were not easy.
