I wouldn't say that he is using it in a joking matter. Like you said, he grew up side by side. With all these cats and the division that is pushed by the leaders of this country to keep us fighting against each other and not joining up to keep them accountable that's the purpose of this song! Whether you're from the woods for the hoods. Streets will sticks struggle is struggle. And we're all the same and if we can get that message nationwide the people sitting at Capitol Hill are gonna have something to worry about. When the people feer the government, there is tyranny when the government fears the people, that is freedom.
