He called ethiopians raisin heads and said shaitan was a black man. He said kill black dogs not white red or yellow ones because black was shaitan. @@joschedgington9045 Let me help you. As you have failed to give references. By the way nice intermingling of very little truth with much "lies". Tactics, I see. "He called ethiopians raisin heads": *Did he? Maybe read again?* Narrated Anas: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Listen and obey (your chief) even if an Ethiopian whose head is like a raisin were made your chief." Reference: Sahih al-Bukhari 693 In-book reference : Book 10, Hadith 88 "and said shaitan was a black man": *Blatant lie. Give a reference to a sahih hadith if you are truthful.* "He said kill black dogs not white red or yellow ones because black was shaitan.": *Because it is a* shaitan. *Where is racism? Comparing dogs with humans ... really? Props for the very little truth, noice tactic* Abu Dharr said that : Allah's Messenger said: "When a man performs Salat, and there is nothing in front of him like the post of a saddle, or a camel saddle, then his Salat is severed by (passing of) a black dog, a woman, and a donkey." It was said to Abu Dharr: "What is the problem with the black dog rather than the red or white one?" He said: "O my nephew! I asked Allah's Messenger just as you have asked me. He said: 'The black dog is a Shaitan (devil).'" Reference : Jami` at-Tirmidhi 338 In-book reference : Book 2, Hadith 190 Abu Zubair heard Jabir b. 'Abdullah (Allah be pleased with him) saying: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ordered us to kill dogs, and we carried out this order so much so that we also kill the dog coming with a woman from the desert. Then Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) forbade their killing. He (the Prophet further) said: It is your duty the jet-black (dog) having two spots (on the eyes), for it is a devil. Reference : Sahih Muslim 1572 In-book reference : Book 22, Hadith 59 "Al Tirmidhi Hadith says Allah said whites were created from Adam's right arm for paradise and blacks were created from Adam's left arm for hell": *Another blatant lie.* "There is not one racist thing in the sources"?: _Yes, there is not a single thing in the sources that is racist._

Alhamdulliah, this Khutba is very appropriate for now and we Muslims have to look deep inside our hearts. Micro racism is very common in our Muslim communities expressed by African American Muslims today in a CIOGC, Chicago Zoom meeting. We should follow what Islam teaches us Insha Allah. May Allah help all of us to follow the great teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

This is such a poignant and comprehensive deduction of recent and past events. I am so filled with gratitude and humility and a plethora of emotions as i write this. I have personally always struggled with the question of why people of color( mostly blacks) are unjustifiaby mistreated in an Islamic ethos. But now i know how to seperate the man from the ideal. I am of course of an African background. May Allah bless you! for this sermon, and thank you.

This situation with the murder of Mr. Floyd has helped to open up a debate that is sorely needed in the Muslim community. It is not that Muslims are bigotted around colour. Even those cultures that are culturally indoctrinated into a caste system will never admit to a colour bias as Bilal RHA is one of the heroes of Islam. And Muslums are always sighing about the unity of the ummah. Why then can we not get on with our own family and neighbours?

It shouldn’t have taken the events in the US for Muslims to seriously start to look at ourselves and the racism in our community. Of course the majority of us are not racist, but we still have a significant who are, even if it’s casual ‘lighthearted’ racism. But even this isn’t acceptable and it’s something that needs to be stamped out by calling it out for what it is when it happens.

Racism / nationalism remains and has always been the practice within the Islamic world. Like many civilizations in past and today Racism remains unsolved . The fact there has never been or ever will be a united Islamic world is a testament to that blatant reality. There is not a single Muslim country that will accept you as a citizen of it's state and treat you as equal just because you are Muslim. On the contrary , your ethnic heritage is what matters and you will be quickly reminded or told .
