Another Kenyan Hotel manager tried that shit in Juba in 2009 while we had gone to watch a football match at one of "WHITE" in juba. Walikuta kamzee hapo chini akikunywa pombe yake pole pole. He asked him for a key to prove he was a resident in the hotel. The old guy looked at him and asked him to clarify. When he repeated the question, jamaa alitandikwa kofi moja safi. He went and called security of the hotel and his boss. in front of everyone, he asked who their boss was. They pointed at a cowboy-looking white old man. That guy too received a hot slap. Then he asked everyone to disperse. The guy was a general in the army. You cant try this shit in SSD. utavinjwa jamaa. Kenyans are too lenient when it comes to this kind of racial discrimination in their own country we should stop it.

Firstly, my brother, I’m sorry for what you went thru. As a black foreigner with a US accent, I know that I’m treated differently. Still, I love love love Kenya and our Kenyan family. We’re grateful to be here vs the US. I’ve been to the Hub many times. There certainly tends to be a number of white people there, however local Kenyans are the dominant majority. While we have been treated well there, we have walked out of one restaurant in Karen without eating because of what we felt was racist behavior. The crowd in that particular restaurant was almost entirely white. We were so disappointed in the Kenyans that tried to force us to sit on stools in a corner facing a wall. There were many tables not occupied. When we asked for a proper table, we were told, “can’t you see the place is full?” It seems that some have yet to decolonize their minds. Other places we’ve been to in Karen were fine. Blessings.

@P T, l lost my respect for Kenyans a long time ago and I say this as an African myself. These people have a serious problem, they are themselves black anti-blacks. The first incidence that my Zimbabwean uncle(I am a Zambian with a zim mother) experienced in Kenya in the late 70's formed my views on these people. He was coming from Amsterdam and returning to zambia(they were in exile in Zambia due to the racist regime of the minority white settlers in rhodesia(Zimbabwe). He passed through Nairobi and he says he got into restaurant, ordered some food and sat down to eat. As he was eating one of the waiters came to his table took the condiments and went and put them on a table full of whites. He said he was so stunned, but then anger set in, he got up went to that table and snatched back the condiments. He then told the the black kenyan waiters that if they came anywhere near him, they would regret the day they were born. That story made me lose any respect for black Kenyans. Then the second story was personal, I worked with a kenyan lady here in London who had a Fanta facial complexion and a coca cola body colour. She then advised me that if I ever wanted to marry I should marry a white man, Indian man or Arab man I was flabbergasted. I asked her why she would give such outrageous advice to any African and then she brought out a picture of a cute little girl and she said that is my daughter, look at her hair, look at her skin colour, a black man will not give you beautiful looking children. I flipped and insulted her so badly she cried, but I didn't care. She was in effect insulting black ancestors. My parents are black, my grandparents were black, my great grandparents were black. I stopped talking to her and kept our conversations strictly work related. There are other more pro black countries you can visit in my opinion like Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda, Rwanda, etc. We as blacks should not tolerate a 5th column in our ranks otherwise we are doomed. I am not at all surprised at what those Kenyans did by asking you to sit on stools just imagine. I applaud you for refusing to do that. I would have created a terrible scene there. I have no tolerance whatsoever for black backstabbers to hell with them. We have been so abused and tormented by all those non Africans the last thing we must not ever tolerate is one of us humiliating and insulting us in the presence of the very people who came to Africa and turned our lives upside down.

Very well said. At least someone is speaking about this. It’s a shame that this is happening 40 years after independence. I felt the same at Ngong racecourse years ago, and I have never gone back. The county government should act on this ASAP. Someone needs to take them to court for racism and discrimination. The same happened at Alchemist in Westlands. This nonsense needs to stop now. Demonstrations at the place can help put the focus on their racism.

This video should be preserved in the national library to teach future generations about the biases of colonialism, such as racism among black people against one another due to the lasting colonial mentality. It showcases the ongoing discrimination in Kenya even after 60 years of independence, revealing the intricate nature of oppression and the necessity to confront internalized prejudices in our society. This testimony acts as a potent reminder of past injustices, fosters compassion, stimulates analytical thinking, and motivates efforts to abolish all forms of discrimination in Kenya.

I decided one day to walk from the park where I saw a glimpse of President Moi after a political rally. As I got close to my destination, I came across many school children at a private school. They were all white and Indian. Not a single black person. I mentioned to my friend and host what I saw. His response, “they do want to mix with us.” I was furious. I stated that Kenya needs a revolution. The new president talks about African unity but first he needs to make the Africans in Kenya become first class citizens.

I don't blame the Mzungus at all. The Mzungus just take advantage of the black Kenyans that enable and support the Mzungu privilege. People like those self hating black guards with a colonized, Mzungu worshipping mindset, are the problem. I'm not from Kenya, but I've noticed that Kenya has a problem of Mzungu worship. Maybe suing the establishment can help redress such blatant discrimination--and of all places, in your own country. But if Mzungu worship permeates the judicial system too, then there's no hope. Hey, look. Those giving orders to mistreat Africans are the well-connected. The DCI, the County commissioners, who are fellow Africans, are in their pockets. Where are you gonna report this injustice unless you yourself are well connected. It takes just a phone call to rubbish an obvious injustice by fellow Africans, who are supposed to come to your defense. The "big man syndrome" among the African law enforcement officials is what frustrates any effort to prosecute such cases. The owners of these places understand this very well. They just have to pocket one of the area's senior police officers, and there's nothing you can do about it unless you involved the press in exposing these people.

Having watched the video and read the comments I can see there is a glaring issue of regulation of the industry. Unlike other fields like medicine, engineering or accounting where we have bodies bodies that have the professionals registered, no such body exists for waitress or security guards. If we had one that could register and revoke practicing licenses due to malpractice at the workplace by not adhering to code of ethics then we would have people thinking twice before barking to every order. That way no matter what job they went the record would show they have an ethics issue and are not allowed to practice until the punishment meted is undertaken. Unless they switch careers.
