Atleast in this case they should not defend Korea. You're right, racism is everywhere like if Koreans visit India they will face racism too.
@umedkanwar9083 Жыл бұрын
People saying that racism is everywhere don't know that in India there are laws against it and you can even protest ,same goes with most of the countries but in Korea there aren't any laws, you can be discriminated and can't fight because it's legal and normal. Edit:- If some person makes a racial remark on you they can be arrested as it is a crime, but in Korea you can bully someone and they can't take any legal action against them. The way you look can affect your job, better looking people are preferred more. Koreans can sometimes be very mean, they will say what they think about you on your face, "Lose some weight","You should use skin lightening cream", etc. Although there are many good people there too. People in the replies seem to misunderstand my point, I did not say racism doesn't exist in India, it does, but legal action could be taken against a person who does that but in Korea there are no such laws, their legal system doesn't protect them against racial discrimination.

I watched the video today only and honestly I agree with the KZbinr many things as well as disagree with her on many things as regards the video. And she looks beautiful and despite being a brown-skinned girl, she is prettier than even many Korean girls and women since Koreans do plastic surgery to look good but she is a natural beauty. I am sure even many Korean there found her a good looking lady since she does look good as per both our Indian as well as our current international beauty standards. Only request to her from me is that, if she loses a weight little bit, she'd rock as a fashion model,😊 and for your information, many Indian ladies do work as models in Korea as Indian beauties.🙂. As for me, I am an Indian woman myself in my early 30s.🙂. Firstly, 0:00 to 0:10, she was wearing saree which is an attire totally different from clothes of East Asian countries since East Asians' attires are similar to Western countries' outfits in many ways, so them staring at her is no big deal in my opinion. I think she should take it positively as if they were giving her extra attention over themselves.😅 Secondly, black people and brown people are not same at all since brown people are overall much better-looking than black people. Thirdly, 1:08 to 1:13, when that uncle did that "thak thak" or whatever to her, she should have simply ignored him and keeping her face straight should have straightaway entered into that shop/mall/store viewing that uncle as a random low-class labourer. And she should not have insulted herself by making that edited pic of her face on body of an animal, this is because respect, self-respect and honour of a female person is of a different level altogether. Fourthly, 2:56 to 3:16.... if she had done as much skin-care as the Koreans trust me, she'd have become much more beautiful than the Koreans. 3:17 to 3:45.... when that thing happened to her, she should have just ignored that shouting uncle and slowly should have kept her seat backwards and should have recorded whatever the uncle shouted on her phone's voice-recording system and saved it to confirm whether he hurled any rude or abusive words towards her or not. Fifthly, be it Seoul or elsewhere, do not give a damn about anyone and if Koreans are busy in their lives in Seoul then foreigners too should become busy with their lives without bothering anyone. Do not make eye-contact with racist people anywhere unless they physically bother you, and just keep doing whatever you were/are doing during that time. Sixthly, 5:44 to 5:51..... sorry to say but I would not bother to learn Korean language to visit South Korea since foreigners do not learn Hindi or Tamil while visiting India. Seventhly, 6:30 to 6:47.....Mein innki baat nahin manti. I do not agree with her on this since I would never go to any country thinking about racism and if anyone racially discriminates against me I'd give it back to them and report against them to police and even speak to Indian Embassy to Korea as well as Korean Embassy to India including contacting Indian media news channels etc. And expose those Koreans but not before giving those Koreans' bad behavioural activities back to them with no returns for everyone's whole life.

To the Indians that say, "I was treated well". My question is, are you by any chance a fair-looking human? Because the issue isn't about Indian. The issue is how dark your skin is. As an example, Koreans refer to dark skin koreans as "filipino" or basically calling dark skin Korean, Philippines. Koreans tend to look down on other Asian countries. Which is why the constant fanatic love from some Indian and Philippines especially, towards koreans, baffles me. For those ssaying," but our idols are different ". No, they are not. They are just smart enough to know you are their stable revenue source and will try their best not to offend the hands that feed them. During the late 90s and early 2000s when Bollywood is pretty much the go to entertainment around the globe, I don't recall indian being that racist towards Chinese or other races. They just mind their own business. Infact a lot of interracial marriage between Chinese and Indian happened during that time due to Bollywood.

People complaining about Racism in India, she is sharing her own perspective of the kind of racism she faced in Korea. If any foreigner or any Indian ethnicity felt racism in India, this video is not meant for you. She probably made this to give an overview to Indians who plan to visit Korea someday. And its not like she is talking badly about them. She clearly mentioned the kind of people that she met in 3 Korean cities. If you find it problematic then you should skip the video why bother watching it. And to the content creator who made this video, it is extremely insightful video. From the videos to your narration, everything is spot on. Keep on creating such good content.

Learn do's and don'ts in the country...learn to blend in. Learn them before you arrive. 2). Korea is one of the safest and easiest place to visit - everything is wired up, and you can easily access all necessary information on your mobile phone (including translation services by KNTO - available in English) - translation service as well as live text services to assist all tourist are available for free. USE THEM! (PS: Free Wifi pretty much covers entire Seoul). 4). Things are expensive there - one of the priciest place on earth (both Seoul and Tokyo).

Ive been to S.Korea 5 times and i found the korean men and women very respectful and had no issues in nightclubs, korean restaurants, malls, hotels. They usually are hesitant to talk much because they dont speak English fluently and perhaps thats why they may not want to engage much with foreigners. One of the Korean lady owners of a nightclub used to make it a point to almost regularly take me out for korean breakfast with her staff. Offcourse, i did not really like korean food (despite the variety spread) most of the time especially not the sea food....yet kimchi was a favourite - mix it to get by.

As a Korean man with an Indian girlfriend and as a foreign worker living in a different country for over two years, I deeply sympathize with what you’ve experienced. I know exactly how it feels to live in another country with a different culture. One thing I’d like to note is that Korea is just one of many countries, and Koreans are not perfect human beings. Keep in mind that it’s been less than 20 years since Korea became a “popular” country, attracting many visitors. Racism and discrimination exist everywhere even in European countries, America, Canada, and other places with over 100 years of immigration history. But as you mentioned, most racism in Korea comes from older people, while younger generations are generally more open-minded and kind to foreigners. That’s a significant and rapid change, considering how quickly their attitudes toward foreigners have evolved. From my girl, I’ve also heard that there is racism in India, particularly against people who look like Asians from the northeast, like nagas and mizos, making it difficult for them to find jobs or gain approval from older generations for their relationships, or even hear “go back to china”. However, I’ve also heard that many younger Indian generations have a different mindset and don’t care about loving foreigners or people of different races. We are all in the process of improving and becoming better. For concerned Indian friends, like my girlfriend (lol) to visit Korea, I recommend you visit there and experience it for yourself. If you learn Korean and speak it to the locals, you’ll find that removing language barriers will help you become more absorbed into the society. I believe Korea will become more diverse in the future, and I’m excited to see how Korea will look in the next few years.

@@sara.cbc92 there is new kpop girl group called Black Swan with no Korean members. they only have one white skin member. I’ve seen some of their youtube video and yet to see any negative comments about them. only saw comments supporting them. If Korean people are such racists, I expect alot of racists comments on Black Swan.

@@jonTX_2024 Yawn.. it's the Internet. There's no way to confirm that those are Koreans behind the screen. Real stats show India is just not on Korea's radar. You guys are looked down upon and banned in many establishments in Korea. Seethe and cry more.

You should learn about how the current developed countries became developed. S. Korea is basically a US vassal as is Japan. They sold their lives in exchange for US money. That is why they work so hard. All their development is basically a gift to them by America. They didn't earn it on their own. And how did US get developed? By looting the native north and south Americans, Africans and us, Indians. Europe got developed by looting India. Not only did they steal wealth, they also stole our knowledge and changed the names of the scientists from Indian to European. This is why they spread so much negative propaganda against India because they want to hide the truth. So, from a bunch of thieves how can you expect civility?

I'm an Indian, so I only speak for India. The reality is that no matter how talented an Indian is he or she will have to bear the tag of being "unhygienic, dirty, low class" no matter where you go. A country like India which desparately needs reforms and an upliftment of mass consciousness, how can you expect the same level of respect from the members of a reformed nation? This is the harsh reality. But on the good side we are definitely respected as lots of valuable Indians have contributed around the world. The current PM is trying his best to uplift the image of India globall and I'm sure the future PMs and leaders would so the same. India needs an internal reformation. If that day comes, we will be the epicentre of global economy & get the respect that is due.

India is best among all.. Korean logo sirf yahan ki nibbiyan pasand karti hai (BTS, kpop, kdrama lau** lassun).. Baki wahan pe ja ke rahegi to racism milega and itna racism ki nafrat ho jayegi.. P.S. - Personal experience from ISEP Student Exchange Programme.
