Some of the comments here reflect a lack of understanding. Seriously, " refugees dictating to Australians how racist we all are?" She has called Pauline Hanson racist. She did not call all Australians racist. I would say 75% to 80 % of Australians would agree with her on Pauline. Ask the indigenous community, the Asian community, and other ethnicities if Pauline's comments are racist or not. To try to say Pauline is not racist is like saying the pope is not Catholic. If you don't want to accept that it's racist, at least accept that it's offensive. So, if you want to offend others, then be ready to take back what you dish out. What goes around comes around.

@@mohammedmohammedillias2100 Your statement is is lacking understanding also. Pauline is representing 100% of all Australians. Get off the social hysteria train and if you feel that passionate about being misinformed, then do your research and fact check. You’ll soon discover that having our best interests is not being racist, though rather necessary considering the circumstances. They are two very different things, and calling out a fanatical disrupter’s right to represent in parliament is not racist, it’s very necessary also - on behalf and for Australians. Since when is not ok to be challenged?

@@mohammedmohammedillias2100 No, she’s independently taken ownership of the much needed gap in perspective from the start, by actually listening to people and taking in those voices. Being progressive needs to be quantified and comprehended very very carefully, and certainly not emotionally, as we’ve seen time and time again, especially lately with the left. Be very careful in your perspective also. Only just recently say going back 70 odd years or so, when my family came from here from another country, their options were simple. You (the whole family) can go on the train and disembark in QLD. You’ll do 6 years in the sugar cain fields. Once you’re done, you’ll get 20K for your efforts, and a choice between Melb, Adel or Syd. To this day, their home flag is raised at the front of the home alongside the Australian one. Those families earned their place with pride and dignity. These days it’s the opposite. People come here to benefit from free welfare and loads of kickbacks, and demand we accomodate, facilitate and flex our hard earned life to accommodate theirs, all thanks to inflated prices, higher revenue, more fines, tolls,fees etc.. This is not a long term sustainable approach in any sense. Does that make you racist if you’re advocating for careful and comprehensive considerations to allow into the future - long term stability? Currently, there are too many imbeciles acting on emotion, not long term stability. Would you hold a dinner party and allow a family of strangers to arrive to your home so they can criticise your cooking, throw their perspectives across the faces of your other guests and propose your lifestyle choices should change? Oh, and you can pay them also for coming. It’s all too much, too quickly and too many, based on emotion (which we all have to a degree in our hearts) - but without careful considerations and taking into account what sits best with the people that live here also, this is destined for division and tragedy. Pauline Hanson has never said that people cannot come here, though rather has advocated for careful planning and consideration of others also. Is that so foreign to you? How can you assume she is racist when she endorses new comers AND OUR WAY OF LIFE to be equally honoured? Like I said, the social uneducated train carrying people that run with a particular theme that’s not accurate or even remotely relevant is typical with human behaviour, yet embarrassing in reality to be honest. Do your homework and look into her policies. Actually read them and consider that having long term assimilation is in everyone’s best interests, and coincidentally goes against simple, over emotional and irrational juvenile - everything now mentality.
@mohammedmohammedillias2100
@mohammedmohammedillias2100 18 күн бұрын
@dannyvelvet4454 After reading your post, I noticed we share several viewpoints. You might consider taking on a role as a spokesman for her party. I resonate with your observations about the role of emotion in these discussions, and I also agree that we need to approach the progressive left with caution. Additionally, I believe it’s important for individuals to contribute to society rather than rely solely on welfare. That said, it’s essential to recognise that not all migrants seek welfare support; many are hardworking individuals, much like your own parents. Furthermore, the notion that people from ethnic minority backgrounds aim to disrupt our culture is a misconception. The majority of Muslims, for instance, do not seek to impose their lifestyles on others. This hysteria is often fuelled by figures like Pauline and her associates at Murdoch-owned Sky News.
@dannyvelvet4454
@dannyvelvet4454 18 күн бұрын
@ Just keep in mind that Sky News by design, is a reliable source of information that is intentionally straight to the point, with no bullshit, call it what it is, reporting. I’d happily invest my time with this channel if I had to watch any kind of news - and would rather eat raw onions all night before even contemplating switching on 7, 9 or 10 news, let alone the ABC… Straight up honesty and straight down the line facts so I can then think, and draw my own conclusions, rather than rely on any of that other garbage. PH at the core, is a representative of the Australian people, no more no less. She also speaks out against internal corruption, how certain agencies are solely profiteering, how certain individuals are not performing (earning our money) or rather representing themselves. She’s stood up for indigenous people a number of times on the government pocketing the millions that were allocated to supporting their programs, she’s advocating for muslims coming to Australia that are productive, appreciative and want to embrace and assimilate describing those people as ‘role models’. There are many facets to her, please don’t discount her just on the garbage that mentally stupid people pigeon hole her. Remember, ALMOST EVERY TIME someone jumps up and goes against her, it’s either because they’re over emotional, or, there’s money tied up in it. This has nothing to do with the governance of doing what’s best by its people, and there’ll always be pushback on someone disrupting the money train. I’m going to go now, and I wish you all the best. Just know, that Australia is a compassionate and caring country. We will always embrace those who need us, but we expect nothing less in return by them having that appreciation and making the effort to be productive (we call that giving it a go) and wanting to embrace our culture and way of life. But we need to make sure we are prepared and can make it last long term for everyone’s guarantee at strength and stability into our future, together. From what we have to choose from, PH would be a safe bet in your top 5 in wanting to achieve just that - in real terms.

I don't view Senator Hanson as being racist in as much as i do not believe racism is her intent, she calls a spade a spade which has become a rare quality in modern politics, however some of her policies go a bit too far, such as her vilification of the unemployed etc, and as such although she could do a lot of good for Australia, she could just as easily turn into an authoritarian dictator. As for Senator Payman, there needs to be more transparency with regards to her eligibility, all documentation regarding to her eligibility should be a matter of public record, although in some instances some redaction may be warranted, nevertheless, although she may technically be eligible having made a reasonable effort, there should also be a reasonable expectation to continue to make efforts to relinquish any outstanding foreign citizenship, and of course it would only be sensible for a regular review of all politicians eligibility to be carried out to ensure that none have applied for a foreign citizenship on the sly once they think they are in the clear, that said, this rule could just as easily be utilized by foreign powers against all Australian politicians in order to influence our government by way of granting a politician dual citizenship where no dual citizenship was sought, and in all honesty a change in legislation to disqualify all foreign born citizens from being eligible is long overdue.

It was not the ALP responsibility to look through this? Did she not try to get her Afghan citizenship renounced?

I can see what your saying... but ultimately there is an issue with the law here. It isn't suited for modern days. It needs to be changed to reflect more practical checks/balances. I'm not going to blame Fatima Payman for it, it's just one of those rules that needs to be reassessed and applied to EVERYONE, equally.
