You are right when you say that this discrimination and profiling will probably never go away. Even though I am an European citizen, being a person of colour, I feel that there certain prejudice from authorities and some people in many countries even within Europe. I know that it is easier said than done, but don't let it get to you. It is not enough for countries like India just to be the fastest growing economy, but to ensure that this wealth and prosperity trickles down to all citizens. Until that happens, one has to choose whether one should travel to a country that makes you feel unwelcome. Either put up with it if you can or hope that things may change if a lot of travellers share their experiences in public forums.

Bhai, this is very common on the Croatia and Bosnia border. Wife and I went through something similar and we are both US citizen. They usually look for bribe. I actually filed an official complaint against the officer at the immigration office in Zagreb.

Until or unless the Indian administration doesn't make these US and UK people wait at the embassy and airports they will not understand our pain. We Indians are wealthier than many European countries. We are famous for our IT and Education throughout the world and we still feel racism. The only way is to make them understand by denying E Visas, ask them to come to the Embassy for Interview. Search them thoroughly at airports.🤬🤬🤬🤬

So if they're doing the same for all whether it's legal or Illegal then we should do the same with them too. You won't understand the same may be you have never visited outside India.
