In REALITY Though: When that "Black Captain" tries to fire that fool, all the other cops boycott him and threaten to let criminals run ammock in their jurisdiction. That's what really happens. Then the police union steps in to protect the PIG, The judge gives him a slap on the wrist and somehow that parasite ends up at another precint sucking up more tax dollars while discriminating against "people of color" even more actively than before and now more strategically. Black Captains can enforce the LAW against Black people all day long. When Black Captains try that shit with whites, the narrative changes very quickly. Ask ANY Black Captain.

Until we as a people , both black and white take a real stand, not just stand around and look, this type of treatment will continue, I myself, have been the victim of bad cops in Brookfield wi , I met the ground , the side of the police car, and a few fists, and i could do nothing to defend myself, for fear of being charged with assault on a police officer or ending up dead, when a ranking officer showed up that actually had sense, and asked what happened, I was described as being combative, resisting, and failing to identify, when he saw I was a veteran,he asked where I served, I told him Vietnam, he asked what I did, I told him in short terms, I hunted people like the cop that put the most hands on me, I then asked if I was free to go, he paused for a minute and told me yes I was , I licked my wounds on my way home , had to face my wife and tell her what happened, and suppress my anger for the next few days, I have no fear, but I also can’t be stupid, but these cops should realize that we are all not the same, and what you do to one person of color, you will not do to all people of color, it took everything in my body and mind not to fight back that night, because it took me back to a dark day in Vietnam, and I know if I would have fought back ,I would not be telling this story, but for any Vietnam survivor who knows what I’m saying, I would not be alone on my way to HELL

You were smart not to fight them off. You might be death now. You also served in the war in Vietnam. Thank you for your service Sir. It had to take a tremendous willpower not to fight them off. If I was a person of color, I would live in fear if I had to drive to a store, that for some queer reason I would get pulled over. I'm afraid racism will never go away in America. This has happened to judges, other cops, female cops, lawyers, students, teachers, chefs, social workers, homemakers, housekeepers, tailors, dentists, entrepreneurs, line workers... there's not enough time or space to list us all. Just say everybody from every walk of life, but in disproportionate numbers based on skin. Still, I agree not all cops are bad. My generation had beat cops that walked or rode motorcycles or bicycles in the neighborhood. We knew them by name. One came to my house and talked to me personally about life, decisions and the badness in the streets. By his concern, he may have inadvertently saved my life. I don't disavow all by the actions of some. I take every person individually based on how they present themselves. Still, there are too many that are corrupted.

I've only seen one episode of a TV show that handled this subject matter correctly. That show is called "A Different World". The episode is called "Cat's in the Cradle". It was posted to KZbin by the actor who played 'Richard Howell' in that episode. I'd highly suggest giving the episode a watch. I say that to say, I think that Vid Chronicles has tackled the subject correctly too. Most series only look at the issue of racism from one perspective; the victims. Like "Cat's in the Cradle", you showed that there are, in fact, three different views to be considered. The victim, the perpetrator and the third party. Thank you for this.

This is the core of the issue n that's is something that would not change today or tomorrow. However, in any functioning society where multicultural and diversity is required for it's strength, it's the law n it's strict n unbiased enforcement that prevents people from venting their inners most desires on others. N once this aspect is not probably handled n culprits punished according to the law, then people begin to doubt the system n take matters into their own hands. The results is anarchy.in fact, the makers n enforcers of the law are those who need to be held to its highest standards but in America bcoz of racial bias, it's rather contrary which is very sad but also disturbing.

I don't think it's far fetched to have internal affairs (the more diverse the better) who hear the demographics of those pulled over and arrive on scene to ensure that fairness takes place. NFL seems more diverse than the typical traffic stop.

@@octavia4324 very few police departments require 6 months. Where I live, in a more populated city, my dad works for just a small police department, only for one district of the whole city, and takes everyone well over a year to become a field officer, let alone going up to detective, etc. Do more research about the time it takes

I get what you are trying to say. But if the title said "intentionally" it would make it look like the officer knew the black guy he was pulling over was a police captain. The accidentally in this sentence is referring to his knowledge of whom he pulled over. So accidentally is correct.

Think of police as a sort of ..group, i won't say gang. What do you thinks gunna happen if you try to interrupt and be the good cop? That's the fear good cops live in with this. Some decide a life is more important than their financial future so they step in and are as other comments state usually fired. Ostracized
