hi sir i tried to run this simulation in ansys as per your instruction i got the above messgae.....The maximum contact stiffness is too big. This may affect the accuracy of the results. You may need to scale the force unit in the model......i got the same message while solving contact between 2 spur gear....can u suggest me how to rectify....kindly waiting for ur reply

anto naveen dp - check whether the geometries of rack and pinion are just having a line contact in 3D or point contact in 2D not intersecting each other .Bodies should not intersect each other.

I think you should first check the design of the geometry to be analysed.

Ansys Simplified sir I checked geometry there is penetration of gear teeth into another teeth....can we adjust or rectify that penetration in detail of contact is there any provision for that ..
