Nice Video, but it would be great to show us how to configure the IP Address on the switch in order to SSH to it. But again thank you very much for sharing the Knowledge.

This video demonstrates how to configure SSH, assuming you've already set up the IP address on your device. For assigning VLAN IP addresses, watch this tutorial: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lZi4mnudbstmhcksi=H-qNR7FnDeRd_ZBt Don't forget to subscribe! 🙏🏾

1:06 I haven't tried, but some people gave the advice to first insert screws right below the ones that will hold the device. That way, the first two screws (which you'll eventually remove after the device is secured in place) will hold the device, and you'll have an easier job mounting it.

Exactly, but the Catalyst 9200 is not as heavy as the 3850. I was able to hold it.

Hello I was able to follow most of it but got lost on few steps. 1. the domain name, is it something you just make it up or is it an actual domain name? 2. the ip address 10.x.x, where did you get that?

This a video serves as a guide on how to SSH and console into a Cisco Catalyst 9200. Before initiating SSH, ensure you have an assigned IP, typically derived from your subnet. For generating an SSH public key, you'll need a domain name, where the key will employ the device host as a subdomain. For instance, 'switch.example.com' becomes your public key. Stay tuned for a seamless walkthrough

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the IP you use in putty is the IP address that you configure on the Vlan1 interface of the switch. Make sure you configure the network interface card (nic) of the laptop with an IP address in the same subnet as the IP you configured on the switch and test the connection by pinging the IP address of the switch.

I will be publishing another video explaining subnetting and VLANs. The IP addresses used in the demonstration are sourced from my main switch, which is configured with a /24 subnet. Additionally, my laptop is in the same VLAN. Stay tuned for the video!
