Finally, a great reviewer providing great reviews and to top it off they're English......get in! Thanks for a great video, it was very informative and supplied me with knowledge I needed! Think I'm going to get the AT-44 in .22 this coming autumn, after I've done a bit of saving!

I have a .177 wood, a .22 synthetic, and just found this model in .25 on Amazon for a little over $200 (refurb maybe?) All I need now is the at44-10 long. I have a whole pile of pneumatic rifles, both at44s I currently have outshoot the rest in accuracy.

I was really close to getting the AT44 Tactical in .25, but its the low shot count that has me hesitant. If I get one, it would be the long version and with a regulator...in hopes that the regulator will increase shot count a good bit, without sacrificing to much power. Recently watched a video of a giy that added a regulator to his BT65 .22 and it helped him exponentially with improved shot consistency, more shots and accuracy of course. Thanks, AGW.

R-N-L, have you seen that Hatsan Galatian Bullpup video yet? Extremely beautiful! Thanks again for this detailed video, I'm still considering the .25 AT44 TACTICAL, but Fx has me all confused now, with the introduction of the take-down Impact with multiple calbers all in one Airgun...ugghh!

Nice Video, I thought I'd share my Pyramid Air review with you guy's,,,,,,Things I liked:This air-gun is one Mean Machine, It's extremely accurate, and powerful, In fact its so similar performance wise to my AT44 .22 P.A., I'll just mention the differences that really matter, Like the fact it has Swivels, something very rare in the airgun world, and something other manufacturers should take note of, next are the weaver rails placed on the forestock, excellent for attaching laser/flashlight/bi-pod, etc.Optics placement hasn't changed from the Pump Action, You'll still need high mounts, and an objective that will fit over the overly extended magazine, and rear sights, I have an "M8 JGBG 3.5-10X40 I.R./Integrated Laser A.O" on mine and it fits perfectly w/out adding weight, or unbalancing the gun. As far as ammo, I found the most accurate lead pellet for this shooter are FX SmoothTwist "Cylindrical" pellets @16gr& 18gr,.,. I'm getting 2" groupings in excess of 125yds(with the help of "FX A djustable Rings" in both 1"&30mm, airgunsource.com/fx-no-limit-mounts-1-inch/dp/1895 I have found no benefit in using Alloy rounds, In fact Hatsan Does not recommend their use as they may damage the gun. Things I would have changed:Magazine placement should be more Internal, and the rear sights moved forward, so they don't need to be removed for Full-size scope placement. What others should know:It's a nice touch, Hatsan including a bi-pod, and sling, But for the money we're paying they should be quality items, Like having padding on the sling, and a bi-pod that's metallic, and has weaver/swivel placement hardware. I highly recommend this a/g, and don't forget to get a spare air cylinder, magazines, and Good Ammo. By Andrew from Canada on 2015-01-17 ,,, I just wanted to add that a BIG Plus to owning this fine Air-Weapon is that you're not counting your shots like a kid on Sunday to make sure you don't run out of air(less you haul your pump with you), or not venturing far from your vehicle where your scuba tank/"Buddy Bottle" are usually located, That's why I hate hunting with my "Buddy" who owns an .22 Benjamin "M-Rod", Before he got it it was a pure 10 in his books,He was pracically droolling , couldn't wait to best all of us "commoners",LoL, for using "springers, and me w/ mt Hatsan .22 P/A 2 yrs back, and now that I have my "tact", you don't hear a peep from him on how good it is,,,Now,,Not so much. All I need to do is toss a spare cylinder in my rucksack, and I have more han enough Air for a day in the field, and I can venture long distance w/out worrying about my air supply, Remember this little bit of info before you make that PCP purchase, Cheer's, and Good Huntin', Andy.
@davidhoyland864010 жыл бұрын
The reason for the gauge being on the end of the cylinder, is because the cylinder is removable. Remove the cylinder, and you are no longer looking down a barrel! It has to be said though that Hatsan do make great value air guns.
@4486xxdawson4 жыл бұрын
So what your saying is if I want to see my pressure while out shooting i should remove my cylinder ,,, boy that seems wrong or at least alot of work , hmm i agree with him , put it on the side and it can be done if other company's can do it . Dont think i want to look down the berrel as well ....
@Jlitnin016 жыл бұрын
Just in case you didn't know, you can decock the gun by pulling the bolt back and holding it back while pressing the trigger, then close the bolt again.

I think if hatsan used a smaller button , it would be too short to disengage the lock on the buttstock , but , if they used two small buttons on either side it would make for a lower profile for the left handed shooter , I myself an right handed but I agree that it could be cumbersome .
@Onesize179 жыл бұрын
You can leave that bipod in the bag- it works better as a paper weight that way. ;)

Nothing wrong with having the gauge on the front of the air cylinder obviously you would check how much air is left without the rifle being loaded

Great video!:) Can the rails be removed. It may be that I only want/need 1 rail or maybe more, depending on the day and what I'm doing is why I'm asking. I'm really liking this powerful air-rifle a lot! My hats off to Hatsan! Thank you for the very detailed review, AGW.

does one need the shorter 25 cal pellets as in 22 cal version? In Washington State the 25 comes full power but is classified as a "Firearm" so you must undergo state and Federal Background to purchase, register, and if sold both you and buyer must undergo another background check. Register in order to leave as an inheritance or it can and will be confiscated by government so non direct, son or daughter, could not own or sell. Of course small fees all along the line. As to practicality, at ranges of effective air rifle use and cost, 25 call pellets more expensive than a normal 22 cal bullets, IMHO, and to avoid nosey power hungry bureaucrats purchase 22 cal version. At normal kill range in my experience 22 or even 177 are far more accurate, head shots out to 40-50 yards. In states we have very few ranges dedicated to air rifles, snob nosed must be member clubby types dominate so fees for open range times are few and far between. Great rifles but damn they cost more than precision 22 cal rifles or hunting higher caliber including real AR 15 or AKs. In Washington State a 25 cal airgun and firearms in general cannot be legaly discharged within 500 yards of another house, so no backyard target practice with 25 cal. Buy a silencer, not inexpensive but on 25 cal air rifle in WA State must apply and pay Federal 250+ U$D tax and registration that can take up to one year wait. This 25 cal properly equipped will run close to 1000 U$D, if not more.

I really really hate auto safetys looks basically based on the FX/ webley axsor action on the mag and cocking / mag bolt receiver looks very similar as well which in a lot of ways i think is better than the spring loaded versions used in a lot today including the new FX guns seems to damage pellets more and more of a faff to load. .have to get my old custom Axsor 20 cal out of mothballs
