I have got one of these in 6.5 Creedmoor. Very good and accurate, under .5 MOA out of the box. KRG make lots of accessories so you can easily add to the chassis.

Playing with one in the shop at work, I also undid the cheek piece and had the same issue. My colleague, who is the gun guy, pulled the stock apart and found the backing plate that the locking nut goes into, drops down if fully unwound. You can fix it easily and then just make sure you only loosen the nut to remove the cheek piece in future

thanks for this, have you done similar with the Tikka tac, for a comparison? Guessing they are in a sort of grouping of rifles like the ruger precision , Tikka tac, LA105, etcetc.

Toying with buying one here in Oz, I've handled it in the shop, but wanted a proper hands-on opinion. I walked out of the shop at the end of last year with its smaller brother (laminated, black metal 102 in 308), which is a really nice rifle off a Bipod or the shoulder, but I really want one of these 😊

They do use Lithgow. Civilian Rifle are way different. Our barrels are rate for up to I think was 6000rounds military are Chrome Molly barrels on the inside and handle 60000 rounds. Plus they can pull down and replace barrels with in seconds. Went for a tour myself last year in 2023. Was amazing.

You put your thumb on wrong side! And it is a right hand model, not so great for left hand shooter. But try the resr with right hand, like it's made to be.

The rear of the stock is ambidextrous. I don't think the stock gives options for comfortable grip like other thumb holes.

Thumb rest is designed for a grip where your thumb rests on the ledge on your palm side of the grip not through the stock and rest on the opposite side.

You should learn to hold a precision rifle properly after saying it’s ambidextrous then going on to complain about a thumb rest on the opposite side 😅

@@racknloaddon’t wrap your hand around you’ll pull your shots these are made in Australia I have a lithgow and a few members of the gun club have la105s I’ve shot them before trust me you’re holding it wrong just test you palm on the pistol grip thumb rests above your index

@@NHGJordanAbbott I agree with what you are saying. With either grip they are still not comfortable for me compared to other rifles I have used. I often have customers not keen on the grip and ergos of the Lithgow's....
