It's good to see video demonstrating the most important shots. Nice job dfwboxrb. It is worth mentioning to viewers that when you are practicing a specific shot, you should focus on hitting that shot correctly. So when practicing straight-in kill shots, you want to ensure the ball does not bounce off the sidewall. Come game time, you want to be confident you can hit each shot precisely. As a small note, I think traditional splat shots hit the sidewall sooner than yours did in the video.

Nice form on the backhand splats. One of my favorite shots too. I also like to put on the ear buds and tune into the MP3. I get lost in the rythem of the music and the time flies as I get a good workout.. Again, nice video. I posted it on our high school racquetball teams FB site so the kids can use it as a tool to practice with. Keep up the good work and keep rolling it out!

nice thanks a lot. i've been beating everyone except few top guys at my gym by doing drills alone. this really gives me new routines to work on!

Awesome vid! I've only been playing just a few months, and this weekend I tried something different. Instead of challenging some of the guys at the gym, I just threw on my ipod and practiced hitting random shots and serves ALL weekend..I was anticipating playing today to see if I could see a difference. Had tons of rhythm, and I felt really comfortable. Played 2 cut-throats, and 4 singles games (against 4 diff. guys); won all 6! The vid has me motivated to do a ton of more reps! Thks! INSPIRED!

nice video man i got some drills i do like the ceiling and then kill until setup but i dont do the corner shots. Looks like a good way to get a well rounded offensive shot game, ill have to do some of these drills. Now you need a serve video :).

thanks for the info pal.. I've been playing since last one year and have improved over the time. I try very hard at the kill shots and practice them most of the times. Saw your feet and body movements in your video when you hit the ball. Will try to follow the same during my practice.. thanks again

I would also suggest developing players spend a lot of time practicing the crosscourt and wide-angle crosscourt shots off both the forehand and backhand sides. It may not be as flashy, but a strong crosscourt pass shot is essential. A good drill for practicing is simply to hit a forehand crosscourt and run to hit a backhand crosscourt before your shot hits the back wall. After you hit the backhand crosscourt, run to hit a forehand. Repeat this, being sure to focus on hitting precise shots.

I checked out your workout tunes....sounds like you're a U2 fan. Good choices! My 3 favorites are 1) Lunatic Fringe / Red Rider, 2) Only the Young / Journey, 3) Good Times, Bad Times / Led Zeppelin. Like you, I try to keep all the tunes a bit upbeat. Times flies by and I try to move with the flow of the music. I spend a lot of time hitting shots this way. Not quite a rollout machine, but I do make a higher percentage of shots by practicing, more than I used to when I was a begfinning player.

Dude! that is really sick how you can get that ball so low. what level do you play at? B, A, or Open? This is an awesome tip video. and i thought playing by my self woulds suck.

Thank you for the video--it's very helpful. Do you have suggestions for drills for getting used to contacting the ball low to the ground? Also for being in proper court position early? I find that during my drills I do reasonably well, but during games I contact the ball too high, and am always hitting the ball on the move. Thanks!

Best way to improve your game people is to watch the pros, drill, play players better than you, play players your level, play players lower than you (for set ups) , run sprints, and play tournaments..tournaments makes your adrenaline pump out and makes the focus strong, makes the timing better.

I was also wondering, after you serve and the rally has started, does the ball have to hit over the 2nd line? (as you have to in the serve)

@dfwgearboxrb I actually played in a tournament this past December, and I ended up playing a guy who had his headphones on in the court during our match. He ended up winning, so wonder if it did help! And also wonder if it is legal or not
