It was the first racing game I ever owned, I was born in 81 and I love driving at the age of 41. This is the game that caused it. Knowing that you had to slow down for corners from an early age probably kept my ass alive 😂. I'm also going grey at a rapid rate, sir. Don't worry, women seem to love it. Just don't go bald

I'm 43 I think this game got me on my whole kick of high speed long distance driving lol. Probably didn't help the first time I got behind the wheel with Dad at 12 I gamely held the wheel straight and let it roll straight ahead in Drive and dad astutely said "Just make like you're playing Rad Racer" and with that it clicked all at once and I gave our family wagon adequate amounts of gas and steering 🤫

After 25 years... I 've finally realized that this game (and F-Zero from the SNES) is the reason why I love the Retrowave, Cyberpunk, Synthwave aesthetic. It was the nighttime stages! I remember watching either my older sister or older cousins play this game because I was terrible for a 5 year old. But for some reason the night time levels were was visually appealing for me I'd always ask them to play the game so I can watch them get to the night time city levels. It finally come full circle.

The car can coast for a while even if the time runs out. If you can pass the flag in the meantime, the engine will start and the music will resume. The moment is narcotic. It may stop just before the flag. Distances are displayed as dots on the map. A silent demo starts, but when you press the button, it's stage 1 mercilessly. But if you start, you'll get adrenaline again, so there's no problem

Nasir Gebelli, who programmed this game, is a genius. The characteristic of this simple car game is that it expresses the sense of speed very well, isn't? Because of this, the player goes too fast, crashes, loses time, and is unable to reach the goal. Although it was not the latest game and was for NES, its graphic arts and sounds entrance you with the sense of speed. In other words, this is not a game that depends on technique, but only players who can control themselves and not succumb to the ecstasy of speed can reach the goal. In addition, this car game does not play background music, but if you panic and press an unnecessary button, background music will start to play. I think that is interesting, because it fits the theme of this game mentioned above. He is also known as the programmer of Final Fantasy III, which was a very impressive piece of work too. ...I don't know, but I just wanted to explain. Thank you for positing.
