Those weird looking robot's in the room, are they aggressive? Will they fight over a limited supply of cushions?
@linguaphilly8 жыл бұрын
They have been known to fight large groups of their own kind, yes.

Somehow I imagine you really liked the part where you crawled around with a pillow on your back like a snail.

Very cool! Swarm intelligence is one of those cases where you can talk about 'emergent behavior' appropriately. I wonder what insights were gained by mimicking these local rules with human actors.

did you walk randomly, or did you have a program to follow?

I think Vi just derped around, but that's ok, they can have some eggs with lighning bolts and birds afterwards.

I found this to be so hilarious! There's something about the jerky imitation of the movement of those robots... Regardless, it's an interesting topic too, coming from a computer science background.

Interesting. Let's decentralize this world with robots like nature does with tiny machines since ages.

I think the talk and the robots are Dr. Nagpal's work, while Vi's contribution was crawling around on the ground and putting pillows on her back... err, I mean, demonstrating aspects of the behavior of individual robots in a swarm.

robots, such as these in universities are a terrible waste of time and money. I still dont unferstand why the fuck a simulation wouldnt have done the same for a fraction of the cost.
