Excellent very explanatory video. Thank you so much, you helped me to understand what to expect from the treatment. How many treatments are usually needed ?
@BodyKinetics6 жыл бұрын
Hi Hannah, thanks for the question. It really depends on what is being treated (i.e muscle, tendon etc), how chronic the condition is and patient compliance to treatment. I would usually perform a session per week for 3-4 consecutive weeks, and then follow up a month later should the problem persist. Once again, depending on the outcome and condition treated. hope this helps. Leon
@hannahotwa10476 жыл бұрын
BodyKinetics thank you for answering . I started last week my first session, I have tendinitis, bursitis treated, My session was very, very painful. My next one will be tomorrow and I am so scared. The pain persisted for several days. Is it how I should feel ?
@BodyKinetics6 жыл бұрын
@@hannahotwa1047 yes this is quite normal, the principle of treatment is to start a natural inflammatory and healing response. In short, cause a small bit of damage to the structure, to get the body to heal itself. Over the next few sessions it will still feel very tender but will slowly improve over time. Good luck with your therapy

Nice presentation! I am trying to decide between pneumatic and piezoelectric. What do you think? Also where can I find some good protocols for treating different areas?
@physiozone5 жыл бұрын
Hi Jim, thanks for the comment. the pneumatic does have a bit more maintenance as do most mechanical devices, but it's served me very well so far. Regarding the protocols, most manufacturers provide guidelines regarding treatment for specific conditions, however, I found experience to be the best in determining protocols. Best regards, Leon
@Ben-gi9oq5 жыл бұрын
Jim 100% go with piezoelectric, the Piezowave 2 by Richard Wolf actually targets damaged tissue is 75% quieter and penetrates up to 40mm. The video above is excellent, but the radial pulse in my opinion cannot compete with piezoelectric. Look at research on both on pubmed.

this is very nice info, love the details what settings do you use on ed? love to hear more about that best video on youtube for shock wave therapy thank you for all the info
@yelkalla19696 жыл бұрын
the protocol is :2 times /week for 3 wk then 3 wk off with no tx then 3wk 2 times with 5 treatment zones three on the top of the shaft and one on each proximal side of the shaft 300 shock /zone or 3 mins /zone intensity : 0.09 mj/mm2 that's all what you need and good luck with ED
@geraldcortez8266 жыл бұрын
thank you so much I'll save this info and remember when I save up the money to buy a system. cheapest I seen with all hookups is 1700 on ebay seems like hospital quality probably cheap system compeered to what they really use but only one I can ever dream of getting. I'm on disability so will take awhile to save that up thank you so much tho:) gives me hope

Gerald Cortez good luck with everything but I just want to let you know that’s not a medical advice . This is just what I would use with this device for ED
@geraldcortez8266 жыл бұрын
@@yelkalla1969 I understand as long as the settings are right that's all I care about because to get a doctor to do it is something I can never do 500 a treatment. Also just did the same kind of treatment on myself with ultrasound but ultrasound isn't as good as shockwave and the ultrasound was more dangerous but it helped some. I got some feeling back and get a little bit hard. Seen a guy come up with the treatment and tried it 2x a week off a week for a total of 6 treatments 5 places top 12 o'clock for 2 minutes then below at 430 o'clock then 730 o'clock then under the balls on both sides of the scrotum. So I already kind of got the treatment down because they are the same but in the research I read they said shockwave works way better and safer. Cause with the ultrasound I couldn't let it stay in one place to long or it can do more damage than good. Anyway means a lot that you gave me the settings cause I was going to find a way anyway lol thanks man take care
@yelkalla19696 жыл бұрын
check this out start from 2:43 kzbin.info/www/bejne/i4mlf3aiet-lZtE You need to direct the shock wave on the corpus cavernosum on both sides 3 mins on the top of the shaft on the tree different places and the other 2 places are under the balls on both sides of the scrotum. Good luck

Find a provider that offers the Piezowave 2 by Richard Wolf, it transformed my life. Radial shockwave is the old school way of delivering shockwaves. It has no ability on targeting the actual injured tissue. Piezowave only targets damaged tissue and it actually works!
