Video Display art create works of kinetic non-representational abstract expression using sound to change a visual display creating an immersive experience in 3-dimensional space,
Three colored circles are moved around the display their positions modulated by the sound. Feedback and image processing is applied creating the output result.
The sound track plays on the overtones of six oscillators that are tuned and played on the frequency scale. Applying some good reverb, feedback and delay generate the overtones.
This soundtrack is processed and used to modulate the oscillator frequencies fusing sound and image.
About the Creator
I use sound as a primary force to drive a changing image. More so considering the scale and design of the space where the art is experienced.
I've been exploring this area for the past 30 years. Considering myself a creator by process figuring out the steps as I go along. My focus tries to find a motional kinetic aesthetic or sound and light that immerses our sense experience and synchs us up to the transcendental experience. Abstract visualization and sound allow a stronger non-cultural experience of this. A viewing person may have a Resonation or immersive experience which is one of the goals of creating these sketches. These are far and few by the working alchemy of the art.
