Obedience is the work of the Holy Spirit, not man's. Philippians: 2. 13. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. If obedience is a man's work, then man can brag, as if, it is by his own power to obey God. Obedience is a process & is the by-product of intimacy with God thru continuous prayers & study & meditation of God's Word & reliance upon the power of the Holy Spirit. All glory is credited to GOD.

Nobody on earth can make man obey God. It is still God who can make man to obey Him. Obedience is only the fruit of what is going on in the inner life. Obedience is only the result of encountering God & revealing Himself in a person's heart. I, in my heart, cannot obey God, If I do not love Him. The key to obey God, is to know Him and love Him. That means spending time with God is extremely important. Obedience should not be an obligation but an expression of how we love the LORD who first loved us. Obedience is only a fruit. We cannot go directly to the fruits to fix the fruits. We go to the roots to fix the fruits. For example, human selfishness is a fruit. We cannot deal with that fruit. We have to deal with the roots. What are the roots of human selfishness; insecurity, rejection, abuse, and fear. There is behind or below of selfishness. It is the inner life that produces the quality of outer life. The LORD's main concern is to fix the inner man; to set the captives free, to heal the broken in heart, to bind up the emotional wounds, to relieve people from the spirit of heaviness. We are called the trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD. To make a tree healthier, the LORD works in the roots. If we implement obedience without fixing the inner life, all things will only be a form of religion & superficial good works like the most. There are some submissive wives but wounded inwardly & cries out with emptiness. There are obedient Christians and yet grouchy & critical to others & to themselves living under guilt, shame & condemnation yielding to Satan's lies about them. Satan personalizes each individuals. No wonder, some are active in the church but cold & dry inwardly.

Sad-saved-people and happy-saved-people will both go to heaven. Yes, the sad-saved-people will go to heaven but they do not enjoy the christian journey while on earth. Whereas, the happy-saved-people will go to heaven & yet enjoy the christian journey while on earth. To enjoy life is to know who you are in CHRIST, who God is to you and as well as to know the nature of the enemy & how to resist him. Tap on God's power. Get intimate with our Savior.
