Ak’s assessment is absolutely correct. The problem is the younger generation doesn’t have a huge point of reference. Howard was on another level and really is the grandpappy for what podcasting has become (even though he won’t even admit that). Wendy followed in Howard’s footsteps while opening doors for the likes of CTG. It’s history.

The difference is Wendy left the radio and went to TV and the only place you could see her was on TV. Charla is trying to break these TV shows while still on the radio, which most people watch on KZbin. If the audience knock to CTG moving ppl from radio to KZbin is because ppl were already there then the same can be said about Wendy and Stern. What they did they did when radio and tv was a big deal so the ppl were there. CTG managed to do it in radio while radio is dead. Traditional TV format is dead too which is the struggle CTG has now when trying to get his shows to pop. What Ak is basically saying that the bar for Ctg to be GOAT is be as impactful within a dead tv format as he was within a dead radio. Which no one has done.
