I'm in the market for buying a used car and a friend of mine recommended an almost brand new Mercedes C220 W204, but I don't want to spend that money. Since I'm more of a DIY guy, thanks to these videos I'm gonna buy a very cheap, super used C200 W203 and fix it myself as time goes by. I'm tired of new cars and their poor build quality. @@fazokid1760 well i bought a stereo kit, it came with the wires for the steering wheel controls, if i remember correctly it was pretty much plug and play, i think it did come with a ”adapter” for the mercedes wiring that then goes straight to the stereo, its been so long that i cant remember 100% i’d suggest you just pop by a stereo shop and ask them, they most of the time know that do you need something extra

Great video, happy I found it! Is the steering wheel control the only thing done by the extra 2-wire connector or does it do more? Does the radio work 100% without those 2 wires? Maybe speed signal for automatic volume control? Just asking to determine if I need a steering wheel adapter when I change my radio ;-)

I was able to make the steering wheel controls work on my car. Extra adapter for 50$ did the trick.

To be 100 % sure , first remove the original radio and take some pictures of the connectors , than compare with the new radio's connectors

No , but I heard of some adaptor that might enable those buttons 🤔

You need a canbus adapter. If you buy a specific W203 Android it comes in the box.

There was no need to take it all out when it wasn't the original radio, you just have to take the radio out of the lime with the buckles and that's it
