Battery is not screw attached. The latch under the PTT button pushes up & the pack slides off to be swapped easily.

Also @Thunderbuddy01, CB doesn't need a license to transmit, it's like FRS and MURS If you want a new antenna, you need to get a 27 MHz CB antenna, you'll burn it up with a scanner antenna.
