Just picked up one of these today. That's a grand improvement over the stock battery. 2s lipo's plug and play?

yes, pretty much. My 7.4v S2 battery had XT60 connector on it. So I cut the stock connector from boat and installed a mating XT60 connector. Male/Female XT60 Connector. just make sure the battery gets the female end connector. I've pulled the stock electronics and I'm going to install hobby 1060 ESC and new servo and transmitter. I may put in 9.6NiMH or 11.2 lipo. The drive motor can handle it. the little bilge pump may not handle the 11.2 lipo. With stock electronics the bilge pump constantly runs, you can hear it in my video. Not sure if i want to disconnect it entirely. It did stay really dry inside. Search youtube for "brushless" Radio shack Gamma Ray. That boat really moves. I'm not sure how I'll manage the bilge pump yet.

@@justinsauer5682 I've seen that brushless converted Gramma. thinking I'm gonna do something similar because that thing is QUICK. I really like the originality of the boat tho so ill probably drive mine stock on some lipo's with stock electronics awhile before I tear her down for a build.
