I worked for RS in San Francisco in the early to mid-80s and that is when I bought my first stereo system and lasted me for a good 12 years. I replaced it with an all Optimus system in late 1999 (5.1 surround AVS amplifier, dual cassette deck, and 6-CD player) which I still use to this day.

Great stuff! Slightly before my time with the company, but I did own a 1000EX among maybe half dozen or so Tandy computers beginning with CoCo 2.

16-507 VCR was the biggest POS Radio Shack ever put out. I remember them all coming back for repair .. JUNK

Radio Shack was ridiculously expensive and BS'ed the world that their in house products were superior. They weren't.

Why would he mention Sinatra singing My Way?? Random much? Actually the correct reference would be, Sinatra singing Strangers in the Night every performance. Just sayin. I was only an “Order Taker” not a “Sales Maker”.
