I am so grateful that you keep making these episodes. With the amount of views they have you probably don't make much money of these but the quality is still so high and I really hope loads more people find this podcast

I agree and that's why i finally went over to their patreon page and signed up to be a patron. They're easily one of the very best content creators in the fandom and have entertained me for soo many hours

That's one of my favorites. My Heart breaks everytime I read how Stannis mocks Cressen and he thinks something Along the lines of 'not, Stannis. Stannis never understood mockery." 😢 basically, he raised the Brothers.

Itzel GC Also worth remembering that Robert would’ve been away, fostered in The Vale, much of that time. Renly was much younger so a lot of the time, it would’ve been Stannis, Cressen and a baby/very young child. It’s clearly Stannis he’d feel the greatest bond with. Stannis was old enough to understand the tragedy of his parents, needed Cressen’s support. So sad.

Nothing to really comment beyond good work but comments bump you up in the algorithm because these must take dozens of hours of prep before you even get to recording and editing and you get nowhere near the views you deserve and couldn't be making much for as revenue that you have to split between the two of you so I really admire your passion and dedication to stick with it

In my head, the epic return of Yolkboy will be with a full analysis of Arya, not just the first, short Mercy chapter we got when they were beginning. It will be so sweet!

Excellent as always. There's a line from Jon in Jon I, ADwD 3 about the burning of children that seems to reinforce further what Stannis will do. The sad irony is that it could have something to do with Jon himself and the situation he is at the end of Dance.

So I found you a few weeks ago, and have been binging your podcasts ever since. I love it, I'm recommending it to people, but where's yolkboy...?? I haven't gotten to the episode where he left apparently. Will he be back?? When??? I still love you Lady Gwen!

For a character who quotes Stalin in his opening scene and keeps a human sacrificing witch by his side, Stannis has an amazing number of supporters :)

Fabulous episode as always. You do such great work. I have a few questions about your analysis. First- What about Selise? I agree she is totally brainwashed. However, she shows a great deal more concern for Shireen in the books than she did on the show. Besides, without Shireen, Selise is nothing if Stanis dies. A dowager queen of an uncrowed and mostly unacknowledged king at the best. An extra, unneeded Florent woman at worst. Will she just throw all her chips into the hope that Shireen's death will save Stanis. And if so, what good will it do if she can't provide another heir. Will she be so easily swayed by Mel. Or will she be taken out of the picture, prior? Also what about the logistics. Right now Stanis is a short distance from Winterfel and close to battle. If he doesn't take action soon, they will all surely starve. Meanwhile Shireen is at Castle Black which is several weeks away in good weather. Is Stanis' current situaion going to be resolved and then a new threat will arise? Just curious to know what you think.

From 1:35:30 onwards is it "show spoilers" or only "ADwD spoilers"? I've been extremely cautious avoiding show spoilers and I've done good so far.
@RadioWesteros Жыл бұрын
Definitely spoilers for a couple of specific plot points from GoT beyond the heads up we give at the start of that section, which is essentially a spoilery epilogue.
@rhoddryice5412 Жыл бұрын
@@RadioWesteros Thanks. I really appreciate Radio Westeros for being show free and giving a clear warning when you aren’t. Only ASoIaF channel I feel completely safe. I gave up o the show mid season four.

We meet Stannis for the first time in this chapter and he does one of his worst actions...the cruel mocking and bullying of a dying elderly man. a man who is the only adult who had showed Stannis love once he was orphaned. If this chapter has foreshadowing, and most believe it does. Stannis will let Melisandra kill Shireen...and mostly feel irritation towards Shireen. Having this be our Stannis introduction, it poisons, in the reader's eyes, everything else Stannis ever does. And that there, folks, is a god damn literary device with knobs on.
