McDowell had been running top 20 all day, he's been showing up well at road courses recently. It seems like whenever he has a great run he always gets taken out so I feel for him. At least he finished 18th and earned some slight better money.

I love MTJ but his crew were crybabies near the end. Jimmie did nothing wrong. It was just racing. On another note, incredible race. They need to keep this configuration for next year. Almost everything was perfect.

I know I can’t have an opinion in this bullshit world today, but if you get wrecked, intentionally or not, you have ever right to be mad. If lose a race, you got every right to be mad, even if it’s YOU who caused yourself to loose. If your fighting for 35th, and don’t get that 35th place, you have every right to be mad, if you win, but you wanted to lap the field twice but didn’t, you have the right to be mad.

I was at the Charlotte race last year and right after the national anthem, we walked out to our seats. Our seats were the highest up grand stand going into Turn 1 and I almost ran because I thought it was going to crash into the track. I can relate to this 100% lol.

The video doesn't sync up with the actual timing of the race after the 3rd stage starts. Example when 14 was mad at the 41, the 78 was behind them.

Oh wow! I didn't know Truex got chopping in the front chicane TWICE in the same way. What a rough break for him. I feel horrible for JJ but you can't tell a champion not to push it for the win. NASCAR definitely got the people talking with this one. The ROVAL played it out and was a great make or break cut off race where nobody knew what to expect. I think as time goes on, drivers are going to be able to navigate this better and times will get faster and there will be more passing. I look forward to this race next year.

The final lap to this one was crazy! I grew up a road racing fan, so I loved seeing some road racing here. I almost wish there was more road racing in NASCAR. However, I'm sure that probably won't happen. This was a great race!

Johnson made a rookie mistake, took out Truex and Blaney took advantage for the win. I don't fault Ryan one bit, I woulda done the same thing. That's what happens when ego's get big and top drivers tangle. Jimmy knew with the speed he had he wasn't making the chicane, he over shot it and got into truex and Ryan did what drivers do, came around them for the win. Cudo's to Blaney for taking advantage of the situation and getting through clear for the win.
