I have a good feeling about the sport's future, since it looks like Larson will be a regular contender for years. Not since Brad Keselowski in 2011 and Joey Logano in 2013 have we had a driver join the good/elite driver's club. We especially need that list to expand now, since Gordon, Stewart, Biffle and Edwards have all retired.

Soooo glad Danica Patrick finally got the boot from SHR. She was AWFUL!! Always blaming everyone else for HER mistakes and always running in the back with decent equipment or crashing every other race. Huge waste of time and 💰. The problem is the "flow" of the race is more often than not a long midrace green stretch that reminds me I have work to do, I like the segments, keeps it interesting.

Very true, I'm used to racing having breaks because a majority of the racing I watch is at my local dirt track, with heats and features, breaks that give you a chance to grabs something or use the restroom, or talk to people at the track. Nascar's marathon type races are more of an anomaly than breaks in the races.

nastycar killed racing back in the 90's. Remember when it was called the Winston Cup and Busch Series? Now they want all the cars to run around the track in one big pack. They climbed into bed with the manufacturers. Chevy was pretty dominant and ford was crying and nastycar was trying to get dodge back into the picture. Well it went even further down hill from there. Next year I guess they will be handing out participation trophies. Look at the stands now, most are less than half capacity. Bristol used to be one of the hardest tracks to get tickets. I remember a waiting list of about 2 years for tickets. They added a ton of seats and now it is usually half full at best. Might as well name it the tampax cup.
