@aaroncosier7358 ай бұрын
@@philipcooper8297 I don't think anybody is disputing the problems with fossil fuels. Fossil emissions are *already* dispersed. They are already as bad as they can possibly get. Nuclear wastes are not fully dispersed, and what we have could get a lot worse. Spent fuel wastes are currently contained in temporary facilities. None will last even a few centuries. Most would fail within months without active maintenance. The IAEA inventory of spent fuel has current global totals of about 450,000tonnes, and about 35E8Terabecquerales, or 3.5 ZettaBecquerels. That comes out about 1.5Curie per gram, or 1.5 milliCurie per milligram. Even ly spread about the earth, as fossil emissions already are, that would give about 1-1.5 millicurie for every square meter on earth. That would be fatal in less than an hour. Obviously no waste containment failure would spread wastes evenly, they would be somewhat limited to the local region and waterways that drain that region. Nuclear is safe if waste containment is guaranteed absolutely perfect. That's hard to guarantee for even a single thousand years, rather than the tens of thousands required. Now, if we knew that disposal was in progress, that it had a definite catch up date, and that disposal was guaranteed even in event of war, or plague, or economic collapse, then that would be another matter. No such guarantee exists.

I am still grateful to Greenpeace today that they showed us and the world how the nuclear waste was sunk into the seas and that the sunk barrels rust on the seabed and the radioactive contents spread in the seas. This radioactivity is then found in the food - and leads to many diseases ! How could one assume that the barrels on the seabed do not rust and release the contents ? It is a mess that still today the seas are contaminated by the reprocessing plants. Greenpeace should please continue to demonstrate and show people what is happening. Thank You, Greenpeace !

Dumping at sea still continues. Its just done more surreptitiously now. Load the waste onto a ship sail out to sea, pump the waste out as you sail around. This is what happens when you contract the lowest bidder to deal with nuclear waste.

What was the EU doing to protect its Federation? If France was dumping too, it must have known all about this. No good demanding environmental targets on land if you turn a blind eye to oceanic destruction and health threats, to human and marine life in all its coastal jurisdictions. They are quick enough to determine and protect the Fishing Rights of European citizens around British coastlines. Not surprising that they don't bother when it comes to the innovation and expense needed to ensure harmless destruction of nuclear waste. They put enough energy though into forcing fishermen to dump dead fish for being over their quotas, for years. Hypocrisy to the max.

Published in 1970, it shows how the U.S. Govt, A.E.C. and other Govt agencies went out of their way to discredit them and other medical professionals who proved the levels of radiation the authorities allowed to contaminate the public were far,far, too high and would have a minimum of 32,000 deaths from radiation borne cancers and leukemia ! They were RIGHT ON TARGET with their predictions and are CHAMPIONS in the field of health physics for the nuke industry ! Have 2 more books of Gofman's yet to read !

I think the problem is that there is a massive edit @43:22. Prof Wakeford states the viral theory, then after the jump talks about population mixing - which is a part of the virus theory - as if it were not. I think it is safe to assume that Prof Wakeford actually mentioned the radiological aspects of leukaemia, but the producers of the documentary preferred to twist the interview for some reason or other. As you note, he does not deny radiological effects on leukaemia in his publications.

This is why I’m a Nationalist. And follow my Ancestors Ethnic European Faith .
@reneearnoux59103 жыл бұрын
Most bizarre comment here. I hate to inform you of this but you're bound to be disappointed because most nationalists are defined by three core tenets: 1. Wars as both necessary and desirable to "secure" a nation. 2. A strong state which protects and propagates nationalistic ideals to the population . 3. An idea that progress is made by going the same path and preserving "working tradition" So what does this mean in regards to energy? I can assure you no nationalists are interested in renewable energy sources or green energy. They'd use whatever is cheapest and most abundant right now. In other words they love nuclear energy. Or any energy which can make a nation "strong". So you're definitely on the wrong end of the spectrum in regards to this issue. "And follow my Ancestors Ethnic European Faith " None of your ancestors had anything like that. You see until the second half of the 1800's most people only defined themselves from their lot in life. A peasant tending his land only had one thing on his mind. How to tend his livestock and how to get a large enough harvest to be able to feed his starving family and hopefully sell the surplus to earn a little money. Life was hard with a lot of chores. Family and surviving was what preoccupied the minds of people. All the stuff they didn't understand was left to "God". Nationalism didn't appear until the late 1800's when a large number of people finally learned to read and the rulers needed to raise large armies. You see prior to the 1800's armies consisted solely of professional soldiers who did it for a living and mercenaries hired from other countries. Politicians had no reason to rally regular people to war until conscription and mandatory military service became introduced. Europeans in the past didn't even define themselves are Europeans and for more kinship with their earl, vassal or local landlord (who provided protection for their "taxes"). Even during the crusades most crusaders felt allegiance only to their own vassal/landlord. There was very little interest in the common good for all crusaders or Europe as a whole. Now, you're either joking or are not quite right in the head. Pardon me for being so brash but what you claim to believe in never existed. It's merely some neo-pagan-traditionalist-myth-making somebody has filled your head with.

This was on channel 4 YEARS ago in the UK? There was another similar one which touched on Hurd's Deep but focused mainly on the waste (nuclear, chemical and biological) that was dumped off the coast of France by ships of all flags as they passed though the Med and hung a right heading for Tilbury, Rotterdam or Breast. Everything on those ships that shouldn't have been there, or had been accumulated prior to entering the Suez Canal and passing though the Pillars of Herc was dumped (at night) off the French cost - by mostly French flagged vessels - just in time for the French fishing trawlers... Most of the HAZMAT waste from the UK is up off the far North West coast of Scotland - why would we run it all the way down to the Channel Islands from Faslane (Glasgow) when there's thousands of miles of deep, low traffic Atlantic Ocean?! Makes no sense. Either don't know what you're talking about, or are anti British. You specifically name the 'English' as the perps, so the latter is the most likely, even though nearly all the shipping industry and processing is in SCOTLAND!
