Great video Matt , Fred in the Shed also reviewed this radio , he moved the jumper for a higher power, not sure if he cut the white wire tho

Not sure how many edits there were, but the operators there sound as good and mature as hams in the US. Not at all like the music, yelling, burping and Tarzan yells we are accustomed to in the states. 73

Edits were probably utilized. People are stupid everywhere, but we do have alot more radio morons over here for sure. Ch 6 and 11 are awful and all those noise toys are as stupid as the people that use them.

Its a shame that implementing ssb in a radio like this seems to be impossible, since there are handheld 10/11 m radios with ssb... Must be a marketing strategy thing.

Agreed, radios like this, and some handhelds would be pretty boss to have AM/FM/SSB, especially as a Tech

Have this cb radio a service menu and how is the combination of keys to come in? I have the twin of this radio a crt mike 2. 55 73 from Germany.

The only problem I have is the RG45 cable. And that little pin did lock the cable into place in the plug itself on the radio. Has the tendency of breaking news that the plug will always come out? Another thing I wish you would have is upper and lower side than that would be really neat. However, in Canada, CV radio frequencies. Receiving vans or Harley ever used? Otherwise, the radio's cute locking has got a lot of features and it's really portable. What like I said the RJ45? Cable makes me a little bit nervous. Thank you for the video.

I have one . I didn't understand if the 10meter mod was a permanent lock to a 28mhz bottom?

I bought one, due to extreme hearing loss. I tend to not use hearing aids while driving to dampen road noise'. Due to this the interior speaker sounds are reduced and reflected speaker speech is garbled. Hoping this speakers modulating sound directly from mic to ear will clear up sound. It should work fine (in my calculation). Just looking to use on US highways/interstates for traffic information. Cool little compact feature rich unit.

Hello, very interesting, thank you. Can you tell me please : once the jumper has been moved to 2/3 which is the band to be used ( A/B/C/D… ) to be sure to use the eu cb frequencies ( the screen doesn’t show frequencies, but only channels…)
@VickyGeagan8 ай бұрын
band c is the US cb band if that helps. Those are all international cb bands So, YOU should be able t look it up easy enough. I know their is a chart to what they mean in the manual which you can get as a pdf file from radioddity's website under support.

So after the mod CB can still be used by channel or must the Freq be put in manually ?
@JAMRADIONYC11 ай бұрын
How can you get into the service mode to adjust the modulation? There are several mentions of it out there, but no one is giving instructions. I know about the jumper, and the wire for the extra bands, I am looking for the service modes. This will allow adjusting of the modulation on AM. I would appreciate any info anyone has. Thank you!!

Does anyone know if you can use a Cat-7 extension wire to have more length between the transceiver chassis and the remote head/mic. In commercial radio usually you can hide the transceiver under the rear seats and just run a head cable to the dash. Id like to something similar with this… just dont know if its possible. Any input would he appreciated 👍
@Death.to.banderlogsАй бұрын

If the radio is modded for 10m amateur band are the CB frequencies accessible?

Great video. If I do the mod to 10M does it retain the CB functionality? I plan to use this on the road, so CB functionality is important to me. But as a ham 10M is definitely of interest as well. I guess I can always specify the freq, wondering whether it retains the channel number functionality
@etzow Жыл бұрын
CB and HAM mode are actually mutually exclusive. However it is feasible to put a switch in the case for the wire. With a double three-way switch (2x3) it is even possible to switch between the states 10m, ordinary CB and export mode. However I never have use for the export mode, there is nothing interesting really going on there in AM or FM. However listening to UK stations is interesting if the Es opens the band, but this band can easily be selected by default. Having the export mode is only interesting when you want to speak on Russian channels or when your in-car coax cable has a loss of 3-6 dB at 27 MHz where you want to double or quadruple your radios output power ;-)
