am scheduled to have my 2nd Medial Branch Block on June 3rd, 2024, my first one I got good results , after doing the pain score for the first 6 hours after it, I had a 90% relief from pain! So I am in hopes will get the same relief on my 2nd Medial Branch Block so I can have the the RFA procedure done ! My pain is lower back, I do have some arthritis also my pain doctor says, sometimes I have the worst pain on my left side which is where the doctor sees the arthritis. I am a 67 year old woman from N.C.

My last one was 5/22. It just recently wore off. Time for another one. I have been receiving these since 2017.

@@jackattack9799well, I had my radio frequency Ablation June 27th, by the 4th day after the procedure, I was able to tell it was working, I was at a red cross blood drive on July 1st and had to stand for at least 20 to 25 minutes waiting for them to have me come on to the blood drive bus, so that was a big test, normally before standing outside, even in the shade, I would have been hurting and sweating down my face and neck. I didn't have any pain or sweating while standing in one place waiting. But next day was having a little pain, it like comes and goes. It may take a little longer to get the continued relief. So I am hoping for longer relief in a few more days.

Sounds really familiar to me my second facet block was wonderfully effective that only lasted for 8 hours he also lidocaine my muscle knots. I had the cervical ablation on one side of my neck about 3 weeks ago now and it's worse off than it was before the ablation, I would tread carefully if I were you. I'm so upset I might not do the second side and the doctor got very defensive when I called him out.

After you get RFA do you need to have the injection diagnostics again once the RFA wears off? Or can you just get the RFA again?
@rosehenninger159411 ай бұрын
Just RFA again.

I had to have the diagnostics again because of the time lapse. Need to ask your insurance provider

I had the MBB done on Wednesday. The first day, can't really say if I had any pain relief. The next day, I did feel some relief and today is Friday and I still feel some relief and today was my follow up with the doctor. Was told that if I didn't feel relief within 4 hours on the day of the first MBB, then probably not going to work for me. Was told that it would be unusual for the numbing agent to last this long. In the video, the doctor says the MBB could last hours, days, weeks. I'm confused now.

Depends on the area or the nerves. Same thing happens when you take over the counter pain relievers… temporary and hopefully long term

Thank You So Much for taking you The time in your schedule to make this video 😁 You Explained the Procedure so well. If it works for a certain amount of time, Can RFA be done again? You're Amazing God Bless!!

If the nerve is ablated, won't you unwittingly allow more pressure to aggravate that area, thus creating more inflammation and not knowing it?

I had this done for the 2nd time. 1st went great. This time I'm in pretty severe pain. Can complications happen? I don't even know what could be causing this pain.

What did the doctor say? I just got my first one done and I’m in so much pain so I’m like of course Google searching the info.

Takes 14 days to 3 weeks for nerves to die
@rosehenninger159411 ай бұрын
Why is it 90 seconds, not 80? My doctor only burned the nerve for 80 seconds .

did the rfa work for you?

90 seconds is correct I've had it done

Crap would not spend €1 as the nerves recover and pain comes back…..pure nonsense unless they will cut the nerve it’s pure bs

Indeed that is why many people go to Rhizotomy for a permanent fix!
