Watch out for the eyes: there is the optical nerve there, it works as a conductor and takes the radio wave deep where they can damge your sight. Speaking out of experience with an at home not so potent device (but I bet in practice procudures present the same risk): I was working on my desktop and out of nowher I would not be able to see a spot in the middle of the screen, everything else I could see. It happen many times as I was doing my at home treatments on the eye area, it used to last just a couple of minutes, I was getting worried. Then I stopped doing at home treatments due to my lack of constance and never ever had a similar episode after. In a random video from a surgeon I learned that one must be cautious with radiofrequency around the eyes and made the connection. Sorry for my English, I'm Italian

Grazie ancora!

Well..I did my first RF treatment a short while ago, following all your instructions to the letter. Because it was my first time using this machine, I really took it easy. I used Level 3 for my forehead/cheeks/lip lines, then Level 2 for the under eyebrow area, but had to alternate between 1 & 2 for under eyes. Then I decided to do either side of my nose to see if the fat pads would GET LOST, so my nose would revert back to it's original slimness. Here are the results: #1 - I did about 40 SECONDS on my nose and the fat pads are GONE ..YAY!!! #2 - Upper lip lines/marionette - no difference ..YET! #3 - Nasolabial folds - no difference...YET! #4 - Fat pads next to nose - no change...YET! Q. TJ...can I up the ante and do a follow up session after a week with slightly higher settings to deal with those dreaded lip line & nasolabial folds????
@TJTutorials3 жыл бұрын
Awesome. So you could use it again a week later at the start, but remember the more you use it, the less time collagen has to regenerate and repeated destruction of collagen during regeneration can impair it in the long term. Slowly wins the race, but for the first 4 weeks or so, weekly use should be fine. :)

Hi Lisa 😊 I would recommend using it twice a month for the first three months and then drop down to once monthly once you start getting results coming in fast and hard. If possible, combine it with an EGF serum or a decent retinol for even better results. On a side note, try to begin at a level 2 or 3 and work your way up to a level 5 over the course of the first three months. Keep me updated on your results and let me know of any tips or tricks that work for you along the way. I love hearing how it's going for others. Have fun with it 😁

Hi TJ. I did notice the difference, clearly! But I wonder, as this was seen 30 minutes afterwards and obviously new collagen takes months to grow, could it be that what we are seeing is simply the skin's reaction to defend from the heat? I mean, do you feel like the tightening is short-lived (lasting a day or two) or do you still notice it 2/3 weeks after the treatment? Do you have 2-weeks-after videos that I missed? Many people sharing their experience with RF say it has worsened their skin. This is a concern I have, by no means I mean to criticise you or will take your opinion by heart without consulting a dermatologist that will assess my skin personally. I'd just like to know how you feel, as I fear my skin could get worse. On the other hand, even if results are short-lived, if it doesn't damage the skin long-term, it'd be ok to do before "special occasions". I'm 35, have skin laxity in the thighs due to a depression that got me to lose about 5kg in 2 days (yes, that's possible :( ) and since I was fit to begin with, this messed up with my collagen badly, and worsened when I got the weight back shortly after. So basically I'd like to know if you feel like the results are long-lasting or just the contraction the skin experiences normally when it is being "attacked", and if you have used it on the body and if so, if you recommend the same machine body-wise. I'd really appreciate your point of view. Love!

Monopolar RF delivers heat to the dermal layer, causing direct collagen contraction and immediate skin tightening. Subsequent remodeling and reorientation of collagen bundles and the formation of new collagen is achieved over months after a treatment (6-12 weeks). The immediate tightening and lifting effects noted after treatment is due to collagen-based fibrous septae that separate fat lobules in the subcutaneous tissue which are also preferentially heated, which leads to further collagen denaturation and contraction of the subcutaneous tissue. Monopolar RF also requires you to have a grounding plate in contact with the skin, in order to deliver the RF through the skin and into the body and ultimately to the grounding electrode. 😊

Thanks for all your demos on this device, they’ve been incredibly helpful along with all the other ones you’ve tested because I’ve got both the RF and HIFU devices after your recommendations. The hifu feels powerful but I like the RF because it’s easier to control. For unknown reasons I have no fat on my body but plenty on my face/neck so at this early stage not to worried if I loose some please! I was worried about these ‘snaps’ but surprisingly I don’t think I got any! I wonder if it’s the conductive gel I used but I actually preferred using the higher settings and I was moving the device quite briskly on my skin just as you advised ☺️

I remember getting my first RF skin tightening treatment when I was only 20 because of a scar caused by a dog bite. I was lucky that I had an experienced dermatologist who really knows what she is doing. She showed me her treatment room when I first met her and even showed me the machine she will use at my first session. She also answered all the questions I had, made sure I was comfortable before beginning and instructed me that altough the sensation will be pleasant and the warmth feels relaxing, I should let her know if I feel it's too hot. At that age she prefered to do 10 minute sessions and recently she started doing 15 minute sessions. Time runs fast during the treatment because we keep chatting about different subjects. From patient perspective, even through the name sounds frightening, the treatment feels so relaxing it's easy to fall asleep during it!

@@TJTutorials you are so welcome! I need some advice. I tried purchasing products from vianacare.com (fillers and threads), and they use a payment system called Yandex. It's like a Russian paypal. None of my bank cards can link to the Yandex wallet even though my banks say I can perform transactions internationally with Russia. The company is south Korean. The fillers are less than $100 and are cross linked hyaluronic acids. That's so much cheaper than anywhere else in the world but I cant link my cards😭😭. I've lost the volume in my cheeks. My face is flat in my cheek area after I lost alot of muscle and fat while in ICU last year. I was very sick. I Don't see any other way to plump my cheeks other than to add a filler or implant. Can microcurrent help lift or plump my cheeks?

@@studloveatl2033 I'm familiar with vianacare. I wanted to order a few products from them earlier in the year, but they don't ship to Portugal or Spain, which really sucks. My sister ordered from them and shipped to the UK, but everything was confiscated and destroyed by customs. I would say to build muscle, EMS 3 times a week would work better than Microcurrent. RF can help boost collagen, but it also has a habit of melting fat so it could cause further volume loss over time if overused. Have you tried emailing Vianacare on Facebook about the payment issue? I've seen a few reviews saying the same thing has happened to them with payment so maybe their customer service can help. Let me do a little bit of research about any other options you have for boosting facial muscle mass and fat and I'll see what I can find over the next few days 😊 - edit - wow. just discovered you can get fillers on Amazon, but they aren't as cheap as vianacare. The search continues.

@@TJTutorials I have ordered juvederm from Foxy fillers before. No problems with shipping to the states. I was worried that if I were able to successfully order from viana are that customs might confiscate it as well. Certainly it wouldn't do too much damage monetarily because the prices are ridiculously cheap. I was thinking of purchasing an rf device (please give me ur recommendation) to treat my under eye area. I need the fat pad removed there (no more fillers for me in that area). Since it may reduce fat, I won't have to pay a plastic surgeon for a blepharoplasty 😊. I have got to find a way to get goods from vianacare. May have to make a friend overseas lol. I worry about the authenticity of fillers on Amazon 😟.
@TJTutorials4 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure fillers aren't a prescription-only product. The issue with my sister was she ordered Botox, which is prescription-only 😂 (yep, DIY definitely runs in the family). Viana care has a good reputation, but I do wonder where they get their products from. Everything they sell is available on Alibaba and I have a feeling they buy wholesale from there (would explain why they are so cheap). For the RF, the one I use is very effective. I would be a little concerned that the RF energy that radiates from the tip when treating your eyebags could affect your upper cheek area slightly too. Just something to think about 😊 I love my RF, but I can only talk about my experience and how it's worked for me. It would be wrong for me to promise results or push you or anyone else into it and there are always risks with additional facial fat loss. 🙃

Yes, you can. BUT head over to Penny Smith skincare on YOuTube to see the time intervals between the two.

Hey, love ur vids. I've seen you comment about using aloe, Water based gels, Ha or matrixyl etc... As a treatment on a client which would you suggest for better results? Thank you

Hi. I would say Hyaluronic acid works best with this, but aloe is also amazing :)

Hi TJ. thanks for all your informative videos! I can definitely tell the difference on the right side. Is this machine similar to the mini HIFU machine you used before? That is the one I have. People have said it's not high frequency ultrasound but rather bipolar radio frequency. Do you know if that is true? If so, what does that mean? Thanks.
@TheMijas074 жыл бұрын
Hi TJ, would you say that the two most important items for your skin are the RF you use, and the Coxir serum? Sort of binge-watching your videos and it seems that you like these products the best. The thing is though....that men have thicker skin than women and they may respond differently to treatments. It looks like you have no wrinkles at all!! However, I really do see a big difference after the RF treatment here. I had a couple of sessions done professionally and they were well worth it as my skin was radiant for a while. She didn't treat the eye area though, which is my main concern. Said it was too delicate with her machine. Thanks for sharing this :-)

I jumped back to the beginning of the video to compare because most people aren’t very symmetrical anyways and the lighting looks like it might be different from side to side too. Sure enough there were easily visible lines and crows feet around the eye that are gone, and the hood too. If I can see this on my little 720p phone screen then the difference must be incredible in person

Hehehe...wooooooow you look absolutely gorgeous. I have never seen a guy take care of himself in such an intricate way like you are...you must have been told this before though. heh heh. Is that the 90's theme you have going on?...You're totally rocking that. I am looking into non-surgical procedures, I've just found out of several non-invasive options I didn't know existed. You have really great results. Thank you for sharing.

I see the difference but when I use mine at my spa, it shows up best in a couple of days. I guess it takes a bit for the full effect of stimulating the ATP of the cell to produce more collagen , not saying I don't see a difference right away, just that I see a bigger difference a few day's out. Edit: Subscribed!! love your vid

I See more volume on the side that you did. Thanks for sharing 👍🏽 😊 I have the same machine and never use it. To lazy to pull it out but was considering botox for and eyebrow lift and saw that a Dr said it actually lowers your eyelids and he said Vit A and the frequency machine are better. I noticed I am get more bags under my eyes. When you 1st used it how long before your next treatment?

It looks amazing! I just wondered if you've had any issue with losing fat due to this - I've hear thermage can do it but honestly might be worth it because it looks wonderful on you!
@TJTutorials4 жыл бұрын
Thank you morningmayan. I actually have a video covering exactly this topic kzbin.info/www/bejne/nWnYnp-Da5tjg6M RF can absolutely cause fat loss - if misused or when over-treating. I actually purposely use it for minimising fat under my chin and along my jawline, but otherwise I haven't had any noticeable losses in other areas 😊 it's all about start low and slow and building your way up, watching how your facial fat responds in between. I had Thermage 7 years ago and it destroyed my upper cheeks and under eye areas for many years. Hope this helps 😊

Hi everyone, unless I missed it, how many minutes on each spot? Also I read conflicting information on how often. Once every 3 weeks sounds the safest, definitely not a few times a week.

Hello. I'm Brazilian, I discovered your channel the other day and I'm already loving it. here in Brazil things are not only difficult to find, they are also very expensive, so why would you like to know about all the devices you have already tested which is your favorite.

Ola tatiane l, tudo bem? 😉 I have a video on my channel covering this where I rate and review all of my tools and devices. I would say the RF and HiFu are my favourites, followed by my plasma pen and my derma pen for microneedling.

Hi TJ, I have a noticeable asymmetrical face. The right side of my face is fuller and lifted while the left is lower. Which product should I use? The RF or Mini HIFU? And which side of my face would benefit most and make my face more symmetrical?
@machetemike89594 жыл бұрын
HI TJ, I would love your input..I have a very similar machine but not really seeing any results... I bought a skin temperature reader and aiming for 40C like you said.... do you think I should try to go hotter or will that actually DAMAGE my skin? I think there is a sweet spot to get maximum results... any thoughts tips? my machine was over $300 :(
@TJTutorials4 жыл бұрын
Hey Machete Mike. I wouldn't try going hotter by more than 2°C. Maybe increase the duration by 25% so 10 minutes becomes 12.5 mins. 40.6C is the sweet spot and you want to hold it at that for around 10 mins if it's not giving you results. Also remember that the main results start coming in around 12 weeks after an intensive treatment 😁 once you've finished, avoid washing your face for 30 minutes minimum so you don't cool the skin too quickly. Just leave the gel to sit.

Good early morning in Calgary TJ...My RF machine arrive yesterday evening, so today I shall be doing my first treatment. But OMYGOSH, the manual is written in CHIN-GLISH and I cannot make head or tail of the instructions!!! It should have also come with the extra large flat head for body use, but didn't. Q.1 - I have a fairly thin skin, so how long would I use the RF for in each area? Q.2 - Can the larger flat head be used instead of the smaller one you are using on the main parts of the face/neck, and the small head just for the eyes? Thank you so much fo a fast response.XOXOX
