So what is that drum sound? What is being done to (I think it’s a) snare? Sorry not a drummer

No worries! Colin (our drummer) has two snare drums set up, the one further to the left that he uses for most of this song is a snare with the actual “snares” themselves (stranded wires tied to the bottom that give the drum its buzz) lifted off of the drumhead, which makes it just sound like a higher pitched Tom Tom drum. He switches back to regular snare by the end.
