Around 10 p.m. December 2nd 2023, I came home after my coworkers and I found out we would be out of a job at the restaurant we worked at because they were closing down due to not making enough money. As I almost made it to my driveway this song played. I was in a state of sadness and near dark depression. This song offered comfort. I have no idea what it's about but the words and melodies hugged me if that makes sense. I Shazamed the song and it was radiohead. I've been a fan of them for a long time but I wasn't aware of this song. The restaurant is still open as of right now but it won't be for long. I'll cherish the last days of work for me. If future me is looking back on this comment now, 🍷cheers man. Hope you found and figured out what your looking for.

Then into our life, there comes the darkness There's a spacecraft blocking out the sky And there's nowhere to hide You run to the back and you cover your ears But it's the loudest sound you've ever heard And all we trapped rag doll cloth people We are helpless to resist Into our darkest hour But it was just a laugh, just a laugh, just a laugh, just a laugh Even at this angle And so we crumble A ten-ton head made of wet sand Oh, this dread circumference You've gotta be kidding me The grass grows over me Your face in the glass, in the glass It was just a laugh, just a laugh It's whatever you say it is In split infinities Then into your life, there comes the darkness There's a spacecraft blocking out the sky And there's nowhere to hide You run to the back and you cover your ears It's the loudest sound you've ever heard Into our darkest hour Have you had enough of me? Contemplate on the lyrics. in fact, nearly ALL of Thom's 'obscure' lyrics finally make sense... viewed in the context of the apocalypse. From Radiohead, his solo ventures as Atoms for Peace or just Thom Yorke to The Smile. If you know... y'know. So genius how he writes to where anyone can find little 'cliches' to associate to their endeavor... yet the overall context is revealed through careful inference of his symbolism and that of the nature. A messenger to the thinkers of our generation.

I think the lyrics are "When you've had enough of me/When I've had enough of you/Sweet darling" x 2 and then "Sweet time/Sweet dark"? Might be wrong (pun not intended) though. Although I suppose you could be referring to the music, not the lyrics. But anyway I think (at least in my interpretation) Thom is talking about his grief around his divorce/ex-wife passing, like in Daydreaming. The song has lyrics like "We are helpless to resist/In our darkest hour" and such. I think the general theme of the song is about death and coming to terms with it, and how we all die eventually. The end lyrics seem to be a dedication to his ex-wife and seeing her death as though being tragic, at least it carrying a sense of peace for her. (Sorry if the phrasing didn't come out right on that one.)But that's just my interpretation, it's got lyrics where you can project various meaning onto it.
