No band can build energy like Radiohead. So many of their songs start slow and just explode at the end. Brilliant.

It is transcendent. This song immediately conjured up two lovers to me, and later I read that it was written for Romeo and Juliette. It could not be more perfect -- delicate and brutal; love and wrath.

Radiohead was in the middle of their 1996 tour when they were approached by director Baz Luhrmann to record a song meant for his upcoming film, Romeo + Juliet. The band was shown the final thirty minutes of the film and were instantly driven to inspiration. According to Yorke, “When we saw the scene in which Claire Danes holds the Colt .45 against her head, we started working on the song immediately.”

I really believed Radiohead couldn't possibly eclipse the soulful magic of "Fake Plastic Trees" and "Street Spirit" - and then they went and did this. Devastating.
TheStooge1970 Radiohead have made equally compelling records. Kid A and In Rainbows. Now of course OK Computer is more influential or ground breaking than those records but musically speaking, those are as enjoyable and consistent as OK Computer.

I think the most incredible thing in RH music is that it brings with itself a kind of holded scream and anguish mixed with passion and fear, it all exposed in a soft but growing rithm that come growing and growing making who is listening feel anxious and then come the Apex of the song exploding the hearts with a punch of brilliantsm and artistical and unique and incredible and awesome and sublime that is the mark of their songs in my opinion. Incredibly Brilliantly Beautifull.

the reason radiohead is so awesome is because everybody adds their own bit to every song (in their own instruments), thom or johnny only brings forth the idea. Its five people being musicians creatively, collectively. Thats why their music is so good. Bands today, it seems only one person composes a song and they all just go with the flow (if you get what i mean, bass just accompanies, rhythm just plays the chords and lead provides some solo). Thats why radioheads genius is so hard to capture.

Nowadays low-resolution videos may be compressed from higher-resolution files, but that's because those higher-resolution files are common for us now. Bear in mind that this video is from 2007, when almost all videos were either 240p or 360p, so it was likely to already be in that low resolution when it was first filmed. Also, even with today's videos, it's very easy to compress the image quality without compressing the audio quality.
