‘House of Cards’ is taken from ‘In Rainbows’ out on XL Recordings. Buy & stream it here: radiohead.ffm.to/inrainbows
In Radiohead's video for ‘House of Cards’, no cameras or lights were used. Instead, 3D plotting technologies collected information about the shapes and relative distances of objects. The video was created entirely with visualizations of that data.

Yep, absolutely but also the great thing about Radiohead, is when you feel neutral about things. Life isn’t fantastic but it’s not shit either, you can really appreciate how beautiful some of the songs are.

I can't believe I'm writing out one of those "my dead friend likes this music" comments.. But here I am.. I found what I feel like is a higher taste in music through my friend Zach. He was older, cooler, smarter, a goddamn rocket scientist studying at MIT. I really looked up to him and got to exploring his vast music library and this band Radiohead, the more than just "creep" Radiohead, helped he, I and our little click of friends bond even stronger. Zach went missing mountain hiking in '06, Obviously I miss him, but what really makes me sad is he will never be able to hear all the great music that came after. The last Radiohead album he ever heard was Hail to the Thief! He will NEVER hear In Rainbows, it's my favorite album and it makes me so fucking sad.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss , ❤ been grieving for a while myself. I understand you. Don't worry, your friend Zach has connected with the Akashik records 🙏🏻 There he has heard every song Radiohead has made since he passed❤🎵 Better than that , in the Akashik records , he will have the knowledge of Everything that Has & All that is to come. He has heard every song Radiohead & any band member still have to make! 🙂 That's the way I like to think of passing. I had a NDE & sure I visited the Akashik records when I was out. I didn't return with the knowledge of the Universe , but it gave me an awakening. Surrounded by bright light & golden beings full of love ❤😘 I felt them , we spoke without talking. RIP Zach.🙏🏻 Love to you , all my fellow Radiohead heads ❤🙌🏻 🐱♏☯️🌌🦅🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

like remembering being 23 from a small town in the Bay Area (*pre Silicon Valley) & getting stranded in Nebraska, sitting in a strange unknown apartment complexes swing set listening to creep over and over...Thom York is a cosmonaut trip tour guide, if your ever inclined to consume psilocybin, listening to Radiohead's whole music catalog, I highly suggest it, what you'll experience is a trip into the universe and beyond like no other... baby steps people baby steps small doses only💞

@@walther2273 I'd have to go with 15 Step. The disk 2 offers insane songs, but it's almost a crime to skip those and add something like 15 Step. @@yunusemre-rm6xr i find bodysntacher 15step and house of cards to be the low points on this album. The first 2 are abit noisy for me and House of cards is chill but kinda repetitive and i can't understand how some people would call it breathtaking. A breathtaking song would be wierdfishes(my all time favorit song 🥰), paranoid android, jigsaw falling, karma police or even the song "the national anthem" that i don't particularly love.

I'm 8,498 Earth years old. Nobody from my home planet of Omricon Cephalopodii 17-B understands why I use my sonar receptive lobes to receive sound waves from your primitive rocky planet, full of silica, iron and numerous carbon-based life forms. I particularly enjoy the collection of organic cells known as "Radiohead". Almost everyone here prefers that new top-40 over-produced tripe known as "60hz, repeating" (also known colloquially at 'tone 2'). I admit, I am a fan of 30 to 45hz, but anything over that is pure Lamarax droppings. Why won't anybody here understand me?!? I was born in the wrong galactic quadrant.. *tear*

My old copy of '3D World' magazine reveals that the graphics were achieved using a LIDAR to scan Thom as well as the other graphics. The Lidar was so good that the team had to 'noise' the signal with goofy tricks like a perspex sheet to scatter the light coming off Thom, smacking the camera, as well as reducing the points on the data using a 4 x 4 grid reduction ... because the original data was too good !

The Wikipedia entry for Lidar brought me to this video. The wiki says: "The video for the song "House of Cards" by Radiohead was believed to be the first use of real-time 3D laser scanning to record a music video. The range data in the video is not completely from a lidar, as structured light scanning is also used." Interesting. :-)

This is one of the songs, to which you don't listen regularly, but in "those times", and it's so special and different than any other experience of listening to music, it grasps you and takes you somewhere else and the only thing you can do is give your full attention to this song and absolutely nothing else. For that amount of time you just belong to this song and it kind of becomes a special experience just to listen.

In Radiohead's new video for "House of Cards", no cameras or lights were used. Instead, Thom Yorke swallowed three bottles of Dextromethorphan gel caps and stared at a camera lens for forty-eight uninterrupted hours. The video was created entirely with the psychically manifested data from his visualizations.

They were close in the sense that they started from nothing made something from each others hard work and talent day by day for over a decade. Friends aren't always "buddies", sometimes they push each other and get competitive, and even the best of friends drift apart. Radiohead is even more impressive in that sense because they were a grunge oxford band for several years before getting a record contract. Musically speaking, The Beatles had a connection unlike any other, whether they liked it or not.

After 10 years and 300 times of listening to House of Cards I still cant get over listening to this song. Every time I listen I am listening for the first time.

This has always been one of my favorites from in rainbows. It was one of the first Radiohead songs I’ve heard and I’ve always loved it since. This song is better then sex

I could name every significant moment in my life with a radiohead song. They are just perfectly matched sounds. Unique pieces! ❤️

My god, how relevant is every lyric ever written by radiohead.. Guys, in my option you are unrivalled in any era, in terms of musical brilliance.. You know how people say.. I love that band they're great.. The actual sentiment I hold for you all cannot be expressed.. I just balled my eyes out after listening to this track... Wtf fuck is happening in this nursery of demented monsters.. God i hope you can release more music soon. I need a revolution soundtrack.. 😂😂.. Something we can all go to war on...I discovered Pablo at 15 or 16 yrs old. I'm now 43.. No one hold the position in my heart that you hold musically..I love you all so much for the creative gifts you have brought into being.. And its my heart felt love and wish for you guys, all of us that are touched by your spirit in our spirits that we stay strong staunch and proud in fefyance of the future that they're attempting to unfold.. Peace guy truly.. Be well. And stay safe.. Much love to all yas🙏✌🏻✌🏻💜💜💜💜
