Hey Josh, I'm in the same boat as you, I've seen them 5 times in the Boston area and have been a fan since 94' my wife appreciates them but she's more of an 80's hair band type. So a couple years ago I took her to see them and they pulled out Let Down! I was loving it, and after the show she couldn't believe how great of a show it was. We've seen some concerts together. Rusted Root, Bruce Hornsby, Andrew Bird (6 times) but this was a totally different experience for her.
@groovyone Жыл бұрын
I have listened to Rusted Root in years. I bet it's been the 20 years. I absolutely loved that band in the mid 90s. I got to see them live. If I remember correctly they opened for Santana. I might have to see if I still dig their music. Thinking about it now, and I don't think I will like it near as much. But thanks for mentioning them. And hopefully 1 day I'm able to see Radiohead live. One of a few bands I have to see before I die. ✌️

When the guitar came in so clearly on its own at 4:00, I gasped. On the studio version it’s there too, but it stands out so clearly here that I imagined it as the person who’s been crushed, and suddenly they start to move, finding the slightest of wills to go on, as they know they are finally going to grow wings and fly away from the horror they’ve experienced.
Transport, motorways and tramlines Starting and then stopping Taking off and landing The emptiest of feelings Disappointed people, clinging on to bottles When it comes it's so, so, disappointing Let down and hanging around Crushed like a bug in the ground Let down and hanging around Shell smashed, juices flowing Wings twitch, legs are going Don't get sentimental, it always ends up drivel One day, I am gonna grow wings A chemical reaction Hysterical and useless Hysterical and Let down and hanging around Crushed like a bug in the ground Let down and hanging around Let down Let down Let down You know, you know where you are with You know where you are with Floor collapsing, falling Bouncing back and one day, I am gonna grow wings A chemical reaction (you know where you are) Hysterical and useless (you know where you are) Hysterical and (you know where you are) Let down and hanging around Crushed like a bug in the ground Let down and hanging around

Florence, Italy, 2016 concert. The notes of Let down begin, I had never heard it live, I cried from start to finish. Unforgettable night

Rush1017 It’s not to hard it’s just annoying to play (well for me anyway) because you have to remember many things.

The difficulty is that it’s so out of time with the rhythm (as written) that he has to fight getting pulled into the same beat as the rest of the band. It would be quite difficult. I’d almost want monitors in my ears that completely block the other instruments (probably not possible given how loud that stage is). So basically he probably has to just get in his own zone and really push out any of the rhythm from his head.

I think this is the best song on OKC and possibly the most underrated. Although on saying that everyone seems to love it haha.

Eargasm every time. 20+ years later and it still hits home. Gloriously bittersweet.

This may be the best thing I have ever seen. The look on the guys faces when the crowd goes wild as the take out a old classic. Everything is perfect in this show.

I was listening to nothing but Radiohead for weeks before this concert. This is my all time favourite song. I missed the concert due to a flight delay. Incredibly upsetting.
